Dmo isnt even a center, hes really a pf. if you consider dmo a full time center then his ability to rebound is awful. Monroe is the better player period

DMO is a pf/c and especially with the trend away from typical positions and more into small ball. Monroe is also a pf/c. Defence(defense whatever) >> rebounding.
I don't agree with this... I do agree that D-Mo is not a center. He can slide there, but he's a natural pf. I don't believe Monroe is just outright better. He's more athletically limited than D-Mo is, he has absolutely no explosiveness off two feet. He has had more time at his position (starting pf), and doesn't have 3pt range. If you gave D-Mo another summer and started him again next year, he would be a HUGE part of this team... Already is...

Monroe is overrated imo. He hasn't any great skill like DMO and I really question his bball iq. I think he will be overpaid in the summer by some team though. Maybe detroit. I think if DMO keeps this up and avoids any injuries people should be prepared to look at what his next contract will be. I already have seen DMO mentioned in the national press articles as one of good young centers and imo this is hopefully only the beginning.
Didn't say that... I'm just pointing out that Monroe's ceiling is lower than D-Mo's... Athletically, they are similar, but D-Mo already shows flashes of having a better 3 ball...
lol how is monroe overrated. nobody even talks about him period. overrated gets over used definitely around here
just because dmo shoots the 3 even though hes not that good at it doesn't make him better. monroe is a traditional big and theres nothing wrong with that. hes also the same age as Dmo and is already average double doubles in his career. not sure where this ceiling is any lower.
err maybe he is not talked about here but people are paying attention on the turnaround in Detroit and how Monroe as a pf seems to fit next to Drummond. And how he seems to be a vital part of this cinderella story.
some people and FO look more than boxscores..What improvements in his skill has Monroe shown? How even so many years in this league he has yet to learn minimal help defense.. and yet he still signed his QO making himself untradeable and in power of what his future will be. Looking for near max contract.
