C'mon there's no way anyone is still on the Jones is better than DMo wagon. Can't happen. Won't believe it.
ahahahahahaha is there someone seriously debating that no defence can't stop shooting chucker Lou Williams has more value than DMO? lol long live the ppgz
I agree that he isnt being traded to be a savior, I disagree that Memphis would turn him into mashed potatos. Currently hes averaging about 8 points on 84% FG shooting in 3 games playing about 20 minutes per against the Grizz.
Absolutely not, but the Rockets are the Phoenix Suns of the PF position. Smith, DMo, and Jones are all good player and the roster is unbalanced. We have no playmakers(outside our MVP), and everybody knows it. I would want Lou and Patterson if I were too make a trade(Pat's three ball is nice).
Thanks for your post. Something substantive and calming while I ride out this long-a$$ last week until the trade deadline.
Lou Williams playmaking skills in summary : give me the ball and I will shoot it. Doesn't matter if he has missed 12 times straight he will still shoot and shoot and shoot. There's a reason of his role in the nba. If HE is your playmaker then lmao. Could very well miss the POs alltogether.
No they wouldn't, DMo won't be traded short of a superstar, He's averaging ~16 and 7 without Dwight. He is in his first period of very consistent PT. He's got A LOT OF value maybe more than anyone on our team not named James. No injury history, a true 7 footer, improving defensively, very young, 3 point shooting way up. He isn't overrated by the board, he is the prototypical high value, young player.
What YOU propose is a great haul. The post I read that prompted all this was Lou Williams being offered for Dmo. If I were Daryl Morey, I'd be hard-pressed to keep a straight face on that one. Aghast is closer to the mark. "You want D-Mo, who's only getting better, and would help your team on the floor as well as help keep countryman Jonas Valanciunas in Toronto, and you're offering an often-hurt extraneous-to-your-roster Lou Williams? Um, yeah, I'm gonna have to go with a 'no' on that."
Rockets are in win now mode. You have Harden entering his prime, Dwight declining, and need someone to take the scoring burden off of Harden in order to get him in the playoffs without looking incompetent(see last year). Portland is playing the same defense this year as they were in the playoffs and he is murdering Wesley Mathews. he just has energy this time around.
Lou Williams is a journey man scoring guard. Those guys are a dime a dozen. Trading DMo for Lou Williams is laughable.
But that is what I would propose in return. I wouldn't trade him straight up, and I did mention that before. I am stating though, that we need to give Harden help if we want to have a chance in the playoffs.
And the other side of the coin. Some actually believe he is worth a superstar and the others believe he is worth a career 6th man off the bench who is an inefficient chucker.lol Dmo is in the second tier of up and coming young centers. Behind guys like Nurkic Len Gobert. He is not franchise player. He can be a third fiddle though. and so is his worth. Lou Williams worth is the 6th man off the bench.exclusively.
