I love it when jerkoff homer fans of other teams jump in here. Now he'll go back to his regular message board and talk trash about us; then he'll yell over his shoulder, "Ma! The meat loaf!....F***!!!!!"

Less than 2 weeks until PHX's last chance for avoiding getting nothing when Dragic leaves this summer.

Welcome to Basketballholic 101. Be careful or you might end up on his table of trade targets.

He may or may not, but there are plenty of reasons why he might. Many more than why he wouldn't.

    20-25%? lol

If Thomas isn't traded, Phoenix doesn't make the playoffs, theres about a 100% chance he is gone. Maybe you missed the complete 180 he has done over the season, with the media, going from "immediately resigning" to "explore all option" repeatedly.

You and I both know Robert "I sell first round picks for cash" Sarver isn't going to pay Dragic 5/75. Not only is he cheap, but it would be dumb too anyway.

And not quite on free agency. Green and Wright need to be paid, all those draft picks you have need to be paid, and frankly Phoenix isn't exactly a meccha for free agency.

    LOL, maybe, maybe not.

But there are plenty of reasons for us as fans to discuss it. If you don't like it , I can happily point you to some Sun's forums.

Why does phoenix even want to keep dragic, i sure as hell wouldn't want to give a 15m x 5 contract to a player giving 16 and 4 and near league worst defense at position, but then he wouldn't be playing out of position here or new york or la or wherever.

It sounds like a 3 yo mentality, mine mine mine mine mine, i want him coz he's mine!

They've added, not 1, not 2, but 3 other point guards giving out $100m worth of contracts to those 3 in just the last 2 years.

I can't find a single reason why Minny would trade Rubio. Not one.
He's young enough to fit with their core. He is a perfect fit with them. They have enough cap space for many years to afford him just fine.
He has come back and let them to wins already against good teams.
Not to mention he is a bad fit next to Harden but a perfect fit next to Wiggins.

Seriously, this guy comes in here to post a drive by comment and never sticks around to actually debate what he lays out. I've tried 2 different times to challenge this guy but he just shows up to troll and then disappears until he feels like dropping a sucker punch again. Sad......

I'll be surprised if he comes back to respond to larsv8

Phoenix fans think much more highly of Dragic than their management. The management has acquired a starting level PG in each year Dragic is there. That's like the Rockets having Harden and then signing Monte Ellis and trading for Kevin Martin because "they're good assets."

Not to mention that they drafted Goodwin and Ennis and traded for Bullock.
It is seriously absurd what their managment does with roster composition.
I get they like the three guard system but its just crazy how many guards they have.

    Carl Herrera-

I'll make it a point to drop you a line when Dragic re-ups with the Suns or the Suns use the cap space his expiring provides should he leave.

There's is no "nothing" by not trading Dragic. That's why he won't be traded. Sorry.

You probably don't want to do that.

Your options are going to be either:

"Wow, Dragic bent over the Suns with that contract. Why would they tie up that much long term money for a non-playoff team?"

    or

"Wow, Dragic just left the Suns high and dry. Why didn't they trade him when they had the chance? Everyone knew he was going to leave."

If I was a Suns fan I don't know how much trust I can put into a GM that:

    1. Botched the entire Bledsoe free agency last summer.
    2. Shelled out a combined $52 million for the Morris twins.
    3. Alienated their 3rd team All-NBA player AND Eric Bledsoe by signing another point guard with money that could have been used to fill a need.
    4. Never even bothered to replace the spacing and 3 point shooting that went away when Channing Frye left

Let me know when this GM can turn any of his assets (because that's what they are right now as none of them are elite players) into an elite player.

    Assets, assets...assets!

Your own "Dork Elvis" set the standard. McDo is just doing the same. The Suns are where the Rockets were 2+ years ago...soon the McDonough will have to start cashing in the assets.

Jury is out on if he knows how to do this effectively.

You maybe right. Morey will more than likely get PG not getting the attention on BBS, like when he traded for Lowry.

    Your "20-25%? lol" ?

    I know you're on RealGM.

I'll bet you a one year RGM signature that Goran Dragic resigns with the Suns this summer. If he doesn't sign with the Suns I'll accept a pro Rockets sig/banner for a year, and if he doesn't you take on a pro Suns banner/sig?

You're laughing out loud at my 20-25% ...what you say?

    1. Bledsoe is still locked up as a Phoenix Sun
    2. Markieff is easily worth that money alone and even Marcus can have his random next-level performances (like tonight).
    3. Arguable that Dragic and Bledsoe don't want Thomas there
    4. He'll be a Sun next year

Sorry friend, I don't make bets.

Maybe Sarver had a good year, does the unexpected and uses his trump card in a super max deal for Goran.

My point is, either way, its a lose lose for the Suns.

Hardly a perfect rebuild so far from the 25 win bottoming out 2 years ago but many think Phoenix is rising right-
