Mirotic would love playing with Dwight and Rockets, he is the stretch 4 that Rockets have been craving & his game is Turkoglu-esque.
I understand that this proposed scenario of obtaining Butler/Boozer/Gibson/Dunleavy (whatever combination it might be) helps our team but I cringe of how much we are helping another franchise. They already have a top 3 center in Noah, a top pg (when healthy) in Rose, the top scoring small forward in Melo, a top 5 coach, the top team-defense plus an above average big man in Gasol. I know that we can only worry about making ourselves better but this Bulls team looks scary if everything comes together.
Eh I'm less picky lol, i'd be really happy with taking Boozer, Gibson and Dunleavy if that's all we could get. Getting only Boozer and Dunleavy would be the only case i'd be a little disappointed with, but if you add one of Butler, Gibson or Mirotic to the deal and i'd be ecstatic. That type of trade would be really nice for us, then we could still add our MLE, BAE. Or I guess if we signed Mirotic we'd do it with our MLE? But whatevs would happy anyways. Damn i'm letting my self take this trade idea too serious, better back up before I get my heart crushed again by us failing to make a deal again.
Don't worry, Gasol will continue to decay and suffer from tendonitis. Rose will never be the same again and if he tries his leg will fall off at the knee. Melo, Noah and Thibs will not make it out of the Leastern conference. Be more concerned about the Cavs imo.
Yeah I wouldn't be worried about the Bulls, I think people forget how seriously good we can be next season with a improvement like this Beverley/Lin Harden/Garcia Parsons/Casspi Jones/Motiejunas Howard/Asik("injured" for half the season) Got us 54 wins, made us a top 5 team in the league. Beverley/Brooks(or Nelson) Harden/Daniels/Johnson Parsons/Dunleavy Gibson/Mirotic/Covington Howard/Boozer A improved team like that might get us 58-60 wins, make us top 2-3 team in the league.
I'm hoping for even better than that. Howard/Boozer/D-Mo Gibson/Mirotic Butler/Parsons/Covington Harden/Daniels Stephenson/Bev/Johnson It would be crazy to have Parsons and Boozer coming off the bench plus 4 of the starting 5 locking down on D. :grin:
Parsons coming off the bench ... for 15 mil. a year ? If you're trading for Butler, i'd rather not match that contract of the Mavs and give Covington a shot.
How in the world do you get Boozer, Gibson, Butler and Mirotic from the Bulls in one trade? Would have to give up Harden talent-wise.
Bulls' payroll is $70.3M without adding on Gasol or Mirotic. No way the Bulls' give them all up together. Likely Boozer as a salary dump packaged with one of those guys and maybe Dunleavy thrown in.
well, after all this smoke clears up, I'd have to say Morey has restored my faith in humanity again. however it ends up, I'm proud to have such a hard-working and creative general manager and team working to make the Rockets better. someone is still watching over us in the universe.
I'd take Boozer, Dunleavy, (Taj or Butler) - then sign Parsons. Makes us a better team than we were last year and at this point that's about all I am hoping for.
