What if DM is nervous about Dwight"s knees? He might be inclined to keep both DMo and TJones and start them together for a while. Maybe DM is not nervous about Dwight's knee but I certainly am. I would need a significant upgrade at some position to trade either of them.

This is the thing i keep thinking about the most...how will Daryl play this going forward? THe best thing about this is Harden is young enough to still pair him up with another star later, but is Morey willing to move Howard before his contract is up? Does he plan on keeping him and convincing him to opt out, in exchange for a new deal for less, but with a chance at a ring?

I hate to say it, but getting rid of howard would improve our chances with KD...

I'm not sure how easy it would be to get rid of Dwight if he has to have off season knee surgery. I just don't know. I'm guessing Dwight does not opt out after next season because of his knee. Regardless of all that, I would not play Dwight again until after the all-star brake. The Rockets really need him close to full strength when the play-off starts. Dwight, DMo, TJones & JSmoove are a pretty deep front court.

Obviously we're all worried about Dwight's knee, but hopefully he DOESN'T need microfracfure surgery.

A doctor tweeted it's NOT treatment for bone edema. We can hope...

@RGBIII @BenDuBose Microfracture could be in his future but that is not a treatment for bone edema.'

If DM the GM is nervous then so am I. If DM the GM is not concerned then I'm chill.

The problem is that none of us know if DM is nervous or not. So yeah.... I'm nervous.

You have to be pretty specific in asking these questions. That doctor didn't even know about Howard's bone on bone comment, so I doubt he knew it was diagnosed as a knee strain in November and has been lingering since. In other words, he's practically being asked if microfracture is necessary for swelling..the answer to that is, of course not. It would be very premature.

True. But, fwiw he did tweet this prior...

    https://twitter.com/BenDuBose/status/560856884798705664 DWIGHT HOWARD knee edema.
Prognosis depends on how much swelling & where.
    Best case: soft tissue/bursa=days
    Worst case: bone=weeks/months

Also, McHale said he'll probably have the PRP again in the next few days and they'll probably be more careful this time, maybe resting on back to backs.

(sorry can't embed or copy all right now - on mobile)

Also fwiw, McHale is normally kinda negative on these type of things.

Gives a little hope that he sounded more like "when" he returns and not "if".

Excellent response. Thanks, Dobro. We're probably thinking along the same lines here. Last night just did something to me. It's probably going to blow up in my face (as in those "waves of long, quick 3/4's" being awful for the next 3 games - that would be just my luck!), but I'm excited about the possibilites.

    Bima, you're amazing. Thanks!

    Nooo!

I would imagine that a T. Jones with muscles and improved strength could be a nice trade piece though. Strength was probably the biggest thing he needed to work on. He is definitely bigger...now we see if those new muscles actually work.

What if he comes out and balls out of control, throws up some crazy double doubles with improved defense and shows he is our best young player though?

As in Jones will be offered, or Jones will be kept and D-Mo will be offered?

Lots of guys were speculating that TJ's injury probably hindered us from making any big trades. This "cyberbomb" seems to validate that. You can't trade D. Mo if you don't know if TJ can come back and nobody in their right mind would trade anything of value for TJ not knowing if he would ever be able to get back on the court.

Cyber, what are (in your opinion) realistic options if Jones keeps playing well?
