Clutch posted not long ago how the Rockets had been hot after Dragic last summer, as your derided insider had been posting. Yes, the Rockets were rebuffed, but now you have Marc Stein chiming in with how the Rockets' half-hearted pursuit of Rondo was due in large part to their actually wanting Dragic instead. Batman Jones confirmed one of the mentioned PG targets here. Didn't name names, but very likely Dragic. Now you have cyberx, too, speculating that the Rockets are making a play for Dragic, either now or at the deadline. He's thinking of throwing Donatas into the deal once we have Smith. I say we wait til New Orleans and Phoenix are clearly out of the playoff hunt and put that N.O. pick and Capela and whatever else on the block...but not Dmo. I love cyberx's ear-to-the-ground, and I hope that the long-rumored Dragic deal comes to pass. Time for the Rockets to kick ass.

Thinking a little more on the Shved trade... Did this have more to do with Terry than Shved? When we initially added Terry, I'm sure the plan was to use his salary as filler in a trade. Then he rediscovered himself and gave us a quality vet off the bench and in the locker room. We may like Shved as a player, but I wouldn't be surprised if one of the primary motivations was to acquire his salary so we could keep Terry.
Yup, beside the combination of Jones or DMo plus picks, we will need either Shved's salary or Papanikolaou's salary to make things happen.
IMO, this is probably the biggest benefit to adding him. DMo will still get plenty of minutes behind both Howard and Smith, and it affords us the opportunity to rest Dwight frequently. Hopefully DMo doesn't mind coming off the bench again, but in the end...fall in line and do your job. He'll still get plenty of run throughout the course of the season.
I don't know. Dmo has shown he requires consistency to produce. I assure you he will regress if smith gets the start.
