Bobbythegreat ? Do you post alot on thedreamshake ? I think I remember seeing your name on the comments boards.
I am a bit angry about the move because I just can't see any good in it. If I made a list of the absolute most toxic players in the NBA, Smith would be on it. IMO this is like picking up J.R. Smith and offering him a starting job. Anyway, since I'm angry about this, i'll stop posting for a while and see if I feel better about it later.
To top it off, I need to see if Dorsey is the one who gets waived as cyberx alluded to. Because Dorsey seemingly surpassed Black in the rotations based on last night...which would mean Black might be the one to get cut.
It's more fun this way. Maybe I'll have Clutch himself break some Stuff for the site instead of in the board.
The Houston Rockets take average players and make them great. Jason Terry comes in and turns back the clock, same with Howard. Brewer loves it here. Dmo enough said. Jsmooth needs a no nonsense coach and to be around quality players and a quality organization.
Clutch himself barely goes through this thread.. It's just messy. But I did post over a day ago that part of the pitch was promising him a starting position. Now Stein posts it and everyone knows.
You also said Dorey would be the one who got cut. Based on yesterday, it's looking like Dorsey passed Black in the rotation - which may be some indication as to which one they truly are gonna cut. Not knocking on you by the way - I was surprised when you said Smith would be promised a starting position - its certainly looking that way now.
No doubt Clutch is connected by now, but it would be great to be Clutch's insider so that he can keep this site going forever without any doubt of authenticity vs, speculation/subjectivity, aka thee place for true Rockets news and rumor mill. The national media would hate it, and for good reason aka Stein's last twitter post... The only problem is, everyone knows who Clutch is and he would take the lions share of burden of proof. You are anonymous, and it's because of this I think we can receive the tidbits we can, am I wrong?!?
At this point it seems more or less we can call this FA signing by the Rockets. Common sense wise: Dwight as BFF, affinity with Morey given we've pursued him before, starting job, plenty of minutes at PF position, contender. Most money except Miami, but Miami just lost to the Sixers so... Media rumors wise: Everything points to the Rockets, basically the only information about other teams are that "they're interested." Only detailed information are in regards to the Rockets pursuit. Similar to how during the Rondo rumors, only mentioned Dallas' offer and no one else's Cyberx with team inside info: Given Dwight's closeness to Josh Smith, if he doesn't like the Rockets much, you'd think he'd give Dwight a heads up.
