God I wish I was still in Austin. I remember driving back to campus in 2002 to see the tower lit up when we won back then. seeing the campus go nuts was awesome. i can only imagine how great it will be when we beat Michigan in the Rose Bowl for a second consecutive year in January. I think I'll have to make a trip to Austin to celebrate.
Blah! I watched the game in Austin but had to leave today, everyone was hokin' drivin up and down the drag, woulda been nice to have been around tonight!
I drove down that way, but the tower was not lit tonight. Maybe they'll wait so people know in advance or something? I know with the women's ncaa track and field national championship, the coach decided to wait until August to light the tower so that more people could enjoy it, including the rest of the team. Any word on when they'll celebrate the baseball title? I want to get down there and take some pics.

Not lighting the tower yesterday was weak. I know the team wants to be there, but it should have been lit yesterday and today.
and a gigantic "1" on it. It's quite a site to see. May have to drive downtown tonight. Anyone know if they'll show the ceremony on News 8?
