...as a player, thought this was pretty humorous, but maybe he can prove everybody wrong. Source: http://insider.espn.go.com/blog/nba/rumors/post?id=7815
Man, he was my favorite player by FAR before the Yao/MerGady era. However I don't even think Chinese teams would pick him up, let alone the NBA.
Disagree, he had the frame and style of game that age well. But who knows how much he's lost over those years. Also, he's been eying a comeback for some time now so I doubt this happens for him.
coulda swore he was on Utah's roster. A shame that he went from All-Star to nobody in such a short time.
37 y.o., 5 years removed and taking about coming back after being diagnosed with a heart disorder? This sounds like Cat just flappin his gums...he might be good for a few games, but no way his body could hold up for an NBA season. He must be getting alzheimers in his 'old' age...
they are the ones who for Ed him to retire on a bogus doctor's diagnosis. Are they even allowed to resign him Btw. For those who don't remember. Cat didn't go from starter to nobody at all, the Knicks forced him to retire on a bogus heart valve diagnosis so they could take his salary off their cap the moment they traded for him They stole a good couple more years away from a guy who simply loved to play the game AND the one play who helped make it fun for Steve Francis to play and stay out of trouble
I loved Cat Mobley. I hope he's doing alright, but this move definitely screams being broke. The guy was as fun to watch as Francis was painful to watch. Wish him the best of luck.
