What a great game. Emotions ran high and ranged from massive pride when the crowd gave the standing O to Dream to the horror of watching a Houston icon play for the enemy to the overwhelming sense of accomplishment when the new Rockets stepped up at the end in a thrilling come from behind victory. All in all it couldnt have been better. I was very happy to give Hakeem the welcome he deserved. I couldnt help but think about Karma though when he was on the bench in the fourth watching his new team lose their 12th in a row. I wish Hakeem well, but it is obvious now that even the new city and new role (if you can call it that) and the new team in a new conference isnt enough to turn back the hands of time for him. It definitely has made me feel much better about the fact that he is no longer playing for us. He is a non factor for them, and probably wouldnt have been a factor for us either. I really wish he wouldve retired. The man has nothing left to prove. PS I still had to boo when he was at the line...I hope no one took it personally.
