Again, since it's only 38 ABs, it doesn't count? That's problem, we don't know any players because no one has done well. I don't even want to argue Gomez' playoff success and have it come to fruition again.
No, he's saying that, since it's only 38 ABs, you can't make conclusions like "He's a clutch player. His numbers improve playoffs vs reg season". There's not enough data to draw that conclusion. You can think it, but saying that you believe it because of what he did last year doesn't make sense given the # of ABs.
Any HOU fan that truly doesn't care has already accepted DAL defeat. Not saying that's a bad thing, just saying what it is. Okay... THUS FAR, in his limited playoff PAs, he's shown to be clutch. In that limited sample, one can definitely surmise he hasn't proven himself unfavorable come postseason.
Not really. Gomez was a black hole on the Astros. The front office stuck with him for as long as they did because of his track record and not wanting to lose a possible supplemental pick if he caught fire. Teoscar hasn't been perfect, but he already as a higher WAR than Gomez in the same period of time. Offense hasn't really been a problem with Gurriel and Bregman. The Astros have needs but Carlos Gomez isn't one.
FIFY. You need to learn to conform to the predominant narrative. Carlos Gomez is the reason for the Rangers fortunes and the Astros misfortunes.
You really seem to struggle with basic English. What part of this was unclear to you? It seems like if you wanted to have a real discussion with anyone about anything, you'd at least try at a level of a 3rd grader to understand what people say.
Defeat in the HOU-DAL rivalry. Gomez is another potential log on the fire. I don't understand how anyone could not care unless they have accepted defeat. Oh, I don't blame the Astros for moving on... just saying how messed up it could turn out.
