yep. can't understand how he's lasted this long past the deadline. If someone claims him off waivers...great, he can tank another team if they choose to play him.

Gotta at least defend if your offense is struggling. He's doing neither.

Lunhow doesn't have the balls to admit he is wrong. Classic sunken cost fallacy.

Grounding into a double play is the cherry on top of a rancid ice cream sundae with diarrhea topping. Served on hot asphalt. Well done, Gomez.

I look forward to more Colby Rasmus and Preston Tucker...

    We're boned either way.

Hard to believe Mike Fiers was the best player acquired in the trade.

Eh, wouldn't hurt to get a look at Teoscar or Kemmer at this point.

You won't. 40 man rules and service time issues magnified even more on teams that consider themselves rebuilding vs. contending.

Fair point. But I highly doubt they are worried about that with Kemmer and they still have plenty of dead weight on the 40 (Chapman, Peacock, Aplin, Fontana).

I don't understand why he HAS to always play center . Like he is that ****ing special . They probably do it to inflate his war so he doesn't look so bad . Marisnick and springer are both better fielders . You could put springer in center and gurriel / bregman in right / left . Valbuena at third and Marwin at first .

You mean we won't get the annual Luhnow statement of major concern over the rule 5 draft and how many potential casualties they'll be facing?

    They are hoping it "clicks".

I have a real problem with Hinch playing him in center and Marisnick on the corner... He has done it a number of times this year and it is poor managing.

I get that the Astros think Gomez has an upside that guys like Marisnick don't but Gomez isn't just not hitting well; he isn't doing anything well.
