So should we start a poll predicting how many games Fat Randy single-leggedly loses for us? I'm thinking either 2 or 3.

Well its already at 2, but he has won one game for us against the Chargers

I will go on to say he beats Denver with a FG this year.

Chill out, by keeping Bullock they are clearly tanking.

No they are the biggest group of Aww Schucks hillbillies, they run this franchise in the most boneheaded manner possible. I have zero faith in any of them. They may continue to battle fight but they will never be champions.
    they are the oilers rebooted.

Again, I ask the question, what game other than Indy did he miss kicks that cost us the game?

You said it yourself, he missed a kick in the SD game but also made one to win it. He missed 3 kicks against the Titans but we won that game. And he missed a kick against the Niners but we were totally blown out of that one.

The buck always stops with someone else.

For the sake of argument, if Randy does miraculously happen to be really solid the rest of the season, is anybody really going to have any confidence in him as our kicker next year (when we all hope to rebound from this years disappointment)? I know I won't. It'll just be one more thing that the fans ask management to address that they won't until it's too late.

Ding ding ding. What did Al Davis (I know The Raiders) say about excellence, the Texans say schucks, extend Carr, extend Kubiak, keep Marciano, keep Bullock, why?

I was pretty angry when Rick smith decided to use a 5th round pick on a freaking kicker...and he wasn't even the clear cut best kicker in the draft. Now I'm really pissed cause the kid is obviously not nfl ready after 2 years.

I'm not saying that he can't overcome the funk he's in, but this does look like a mistake on the part of our GM.

LOL, I'm not a fan of Bullock at ALL....but it's funny reading some of these posts. We're on a 6-game losing streak and exactly 1 those losses is because of the kicker.

If we cut him, who do we replace him with? And will that save our season?

This team has much bigger problems than the kicker.

    If any...

Teams should be able to hold a 24-6 lead going into the 4th quarter, even if they have a 3rd grader as their kicker.

I totally agree...but the decision making over this kicker is a microcosm of a bigger issue. That's my concern.

That they're super afraid to ever admit a mistake, so they refuse to change..even when change is staring them in the face.

I don't see why everyone is mad... At this point we're not making the playoffs, so the next best thing is to get a good draft pick. Crappy kicker = better draft pick

Anyone remember Kris Brown in the Toilet Bowl? That was AWESOME.

True with Schaub, true with Kubiak, true with Carr, true with Marciano, I get it.

I just don't see a better alternative at kicker out there right now. Especially when the season is pretty much over and the kicker has only cost us 1 game out of the last 6 in a row that we've lost. None of the retreads we've brought in are any better than Bullock.

Not defending Bullock at all, I just don't get the PANIC about it right now. I see it more as venting about the season as a whole, which I totally understand.

I'm fine with that outcome. I just don't believe for one second that's the decision making process the Texans employed with respect to Bullock. I doubt seriously the battlefightin' braintrust is thinking about how Bullock might earn us a better draft pick with his sweet stylings.

I'd give Charlie Brown a look at this point.

Bullock is historically bad through mid-season. Do I care from an outcome standpoint? No...doesn't matter. I care because of what it says about how this organization continues to make decisions.

I think the bigger issue of not cutting Bullock, is that it shows there is zero accountability. Same with Marciano...This team lacks the ability to hold people accountable. That falls on management and ownership and permeates down the coaches and players. You wanna show that you care about your team and product, Bullock and Joe Marciano wouldve been called into the office Monday morning and handed their pink slip.

Sometimes I wonder how McNair really made so much money...only then to realize that he might not have made as much as he could have... He is one of the nice guys, but nice guys really do finish last...

I guess the only way to get his attention is to bring back the brown paper bags at reliant stadium in a couple of weeks...

Don't but the nice guys finish last B.S. That's crap.

But you're right about the accountability thing...that's my point exactly. This organization continues to send that message to its fans and to the people it employs.

I can easily find justification for keeping the kicker, despite how bad he is.

If you believe the talent is there and it's just fixable technique issues, or rookie yips or something, fine. You have a wasted season now to work him through it.

    I can't figure out Marciano though. I just can't.

If I was Bob McNair I'd tell Marciano "If #82 returns one more kick out of the back of the endzone you will be fired before the next ball is snapped."
