Yup. BobGlauber Just got off the phone with AP Sports Editor Terry Taylor. There will be a re-vote of NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year.
So they didn't revote for Julius Peppers in 2002 or Shawn Merriman in 2005 but decide to do it now. How convenient.......
I would rather him lose the award just to put a chip on his shoulder and prove the media anti-Houston bias. Also put some cash in McNair's pocket if he has to fire Gary.
Ok so if he did it BEFORE his rookie season, and I am sure they continued to test him throughout the season, wouldn't that mean he was clean during the season?
Is there a chance of the full story coming out? It sucks that already the punishments are being dealt when the public still has no clue about the main questions regarding this- what did he take, when and how was he tested?
Which is my point, why would they re-vote if for the majority or all of the season he was clean? This is why I think he will come back fine because for most of the season he was clean doing his damage naturally.
Who cares about the award? It'll just be more motivation for Cush to punish his opponents on the field this upcoming season.
If they re-vote and he loses then the AP should take a look in the mirror. The guy received 39 of 50 votes, he basically blew everyone out of the water. Whatever he was taking was stopped after september. So you've got all of October November and December to look at 100% clean play. If they think that whatever he was taking makes a big enough difference to give it someone else then geeshhhh.
