He did pretty good only getting caught twice in 10+ years. He's been well acquainted with steroids since college.
Between the concussions, steroids, other PED's, injuries and the pain his post-NFL life is going to be tough. I'm not sure he will make it to 50. His best bet is to retire asap and hope for the best.
His steroids must have sucked cause he has been garbage for a while now. Cushing (along with J-Jo) are guys that a winning organization would have cut 2 years ago. This is why Belichick is the best, he knows when to cut aging players and he's not afraid of cutting team leaders.
If the other guys were outplaying them, they would have been gone. McKinney finally put together a good year and he still was getting burned by RBs. Joseph is still better than Kareem Jackson, healthier than Kevin Joseph, and more level-headed than Bouye last year. If the Texans drafted Marcus Peters instead of Kevin Johnson, Joseph is probably gone. If McKinney was pro-bowl his rookie year, Cushing is probably gone the next year. You don't cut players unless their replacements are better. This Cushing suspension doesn't hurt as bad because McKinney looks like he's the real deal and Cunningham can man the other LB spot.
Don't understand the hate for JJo. He's on the decline, but he's still been a quality DB the last couple years.
This franchise. Uncle Bob should go pay another visit to NFL headquarters to stick up for his boy again.
He's done? Shoot...Rick's about to extend him on the premise that he got to rest for most of 2017. His quickness is back, y'all!
He's on a clearly downward trajectory and is the reason they let bouye walk. I'm really disappointed in Cushing. If I'm not mistaken this was his last year of guaranteed money soooo should be his last year. Maybe retirement time.
And if they cut him now? Are there any clauses that allow the team to get out of money due to him being a f***ing moron?
