Top 3 (not in order) : Kidd, Nash, Battier

If Fisher would be an NBA coach, he would fit perfect in Utah, because Fisher always goes for the dirty play, and thats Utah style, but I would never hire Fisher as a coach.

Aside from the ones listed already, here are mine:

    PG
D-Will, a matured Rose, Rondo and I'm starting to believe that Dragic will be a good coach too

    SG
D-Wade and Manu. I also believe that Dudley will be one heck of a
    coach too

    SF
    Granger, G-Wall, and a matured C-Bud

    PF
    Scola and Najera

    C
    Yao, Hayes, and Gadzuric

This is exactly how I feel. People like him and Michael Jordan have talent and work ethic so far above everybody else, I doubt they tolerate slackers on the court.

Yea Nash makes a great choice because basketball is played on one side of the court

Yeah, Nash's defensive troubles would make him a terrible choice because head coaches are no longer allowed to hire assistants.

Who cares; all that matters, all that's ever mattered, is what players you have. Not sure why that's so hard for people to get when it's right there in front of you year after year.

I get the impression Shane might end up as an assistant couch, like Tom Thibodeau, probably (hopefully) with Houston.

PG: Rondo is an obvious choice but I also see Nash. No surprises here as great point guards make great coaches many times. My #1 guess though?? Andre Miller.

SG: Manu Ginobili or Ray Allen

SF: I get the feeling Lamar Odom will make the leap even if I hate him.

PF: Garnett will be a scary ass coach some day. Can also see Dirk.

C: I could be wrong but I don't think centers make great coaches. Maybe Brad Miller?

    Grant Hill absolutely. Kidd absolutely.

Disagree with a lot listed like Ginobili, Kobe, Rondo, and others... mostly b/c of personality

One that hasn't been listed yet.. let me go with Jeff Green maybe, though it'll be easier to say in another 5 years when he's a vet.

    - Shane Battier
    - Steve Nash
    - Ray Allen
    - Brandon Roy
    - Rajon Rondo
    - Grant Hill
    - Chauncey Billups
    - Jason Kidd

For those saying Kobe Bryant, he's an instinctive person. He's not a strategic person. He 'wills' himself to victory. He doesn't plan himself to victory. No way he would make a good coach.

I think there are a few qualities that are a must for a good coach.

The ability to work hard and knows the fundamental portions of the game.

The ability to have patience and enjoy watching your work go to fruition.

Contrary to the fact that he's not a good defender, Nash would probably be a good coach. I can see him or Dragic being a Scotty Brooks-like coach.

Someone mentioned JJ Redick earlier. I think that guy knows his basketball knowledge. He seems like a hard worker and seems to be a good candidate one day.

I think Chris Duhon would be good too.

I can't agree with Scola in the NBA because of communication barriers. Could you imagine him trying to draw up a play during a 20 second timeout?

    Battier, but I don't think he's interested.

Mike Bibby seems to know the angles of the game well, but I have no idea what his working mentality is.

Mike Dunleavy Jr...., maybe it's the name.

TJ Ford. There's no doubt that this guy works hard to get back from horrible injuries. I also think that he understands court vision and knows the game inside out.

    ... Deron Williams.
