Kobe, Shaq, Duncan, KG, Pierce, Allan, Ginobili, Dirk, Nash, Kidd, Billups should all be locks and maybe Rip Hamilton

Next in line: LeBron, Wade, Dwight Howard, Pau Gasol, Amare, Deron Williams, CP3, Melo

The future: Westbrook, Durant, Curry, Rose, Rondo, Blake Griffin, B. Lopez

No, he makes a legitimate point.

Yao Ming single handedly doubled almost tripled the nba's viewer's, he open the flood gates to the POSSIBLE future of having NBA team's in other countries... he is one of the main reason the game has expanded so much in the last decade!!

His impact won't be seen until after he completely retires from the game..

    THE Tracy McGrady

I was looking at his stats from 02-06.. Pretty impressive. Too bad he's a douchebag.

It's the BASKETBALL Hall of Fame...

NOT the NBA Hall of Fame.

High School, College, International play etc... counts, too.

Yao and Sabonis would probably have a decent shot.

Maybe even Scola if his NBA career remains solid and consistent, because of his achievements in International play.

If he can play at a high level for a few more years, I think Manu Ginobili should go to the hall of fame.

What's interesting is Yao actually has an outside shot to get in the HOF. It's called the "Basketball Hall of Fame", not just the NBA HOF, so people can get in who have an impact on the game at the college, pro, and who had a strong european/international impact on the American game levels (it's easier to get in the basketball HOF than some other sports).

For example, if Drazen Petrovic can get into the HOF for him impact on the influx of international talent in the NBA, Yao could possibly get in on his impact in China and Asian countries interest in the game and potential talent interest.

I'm not so sure about Ginobili or Billups or Hamilton. They're not getting in if T-Mac isn't, and obviously as a True Rockets Fan I don't think Tracy has what it takes to make the HOF.

I do think Lebron, Wade, Carmelo, Dwight, CP3, and Deron Williams are on pace to make it. Lebron and Wade could retire now and make it; the others just have to be sure not to poop in David Stern's punchbowl before their careers are finished.

I think Ginobili will get in. 1 of only 2 players (Bill Bradley, who is a hall of famer) to have won a Euroleague title, an NBA championship, and an Olympic gold medal.

High School does not count in terms of determining what NBA player will make the HOF. I would say damn near every NBA player was a stud in High School.

remember, the HOF isn't just about the NBA. There are players in the HOF that haven't even played in the NBA. Strictly on basketball impact, Yao is pretty much a lock.
