Damn straight. I get the "why is a white boy like you playing the blues?" line all the freaking time. I tell them that the blues is a feeling, not a racially segregated musical genre. If you have to be a certain ethnicity to play a certain style of music, how in the hell can you explain Charley Pride??
I agree. Sub Oslo out of Dallas of the best dub artists I have ever heard, and Bad Brains is one of the best punk bands ever. I don't know what it is about the ska bands though...
