Zach Lowe made a comment that Terry is playing much better than we could have hoped, but at this point in his career he can't really guard anyone, and that's the type of weakness teams in the playoffs will exploit over and over again. So my vote would be for backup point guard. It's okay if Terry gets minutes in playoffs in certain situations or niche lineups, but it's going to be very frustrating relying on him to back up point guard and watching the other team go to whoever he is guarding over and over.

Of course Dragic would be ideal, but as Phoenix continues to play well he becomes less and less likely. At minimum, we just need a more balance player point guard who can play decent offense AND defense. Ideally, he's a guy that can lead our second unit in transition, shoot 3's at a high clip and create for himself as well as play defense. However, I'd settle for a streaky popcorn kinda guy that can create some instant offense off the bench without giving too much on defense.

So I guess I'm saying, where is Aaron Brooks when you need him?!?

    More likely targets:

Isaiah Thomas, Jose Calderon, Jarrett Jack, Mo Williams...

oh man, that's an ugly list. On second thought, maybe McHale will make Harden backup PG and bring in another SG off the bench that can guard 1's. I wonder if Philly would make Tony Wroten or KJ McDaniels available.

The way Harden can handle PG duties and just controls most of the game flow, we really need more accurate shooters, but not a Novak though. They still need to be able to defend. The need for more playmakers almost goes away, if defenders look at harden and then the shooters around him and actually face a tough decision on who to crash on. Dwight and Papa can pick up the "play making", when Harden sits or when he's tired.

It really depends on what we can actually get at this point. Dragic or George Hill at point would still be awesome.

    We need the following (other):

    1) the sense of urgency that comes with knowing that your very existence as an NBA player with this team depends on your intensity...game after game after game.

    2) a period of uninterrupted time...probably about two to three weeks...in which we have stability in the line-up and rotations.

    3) following that period of intense evaluations, make a decision on any changes that may be needed before the trade deadline.

Don't change just for the sake of change...we are very close...make sure you understand the chemistry before doing anything else.

an extra playmaker would be nice but I think we need to hit our 3's at a better clip since we are so dependent on them...

So how about a PG that is s good 3 point shooter... Isaiah Thomas anyone?

Pg by a mile. James is a good playmaker, but being a pg encompasses more than that.

Bev would be great if he was at any position except pg.

The pg has to have some skills, but we need someone that brings some order and sanity.

Someone that stops a bunch of dumb **** from happening. Someone that can get the offense consistently going in half court sets.

I wish bev were taller ang longer so he could be a sf. Then we wouldn't need ariza and we could get a real pg.

Bad options. The answer is a play making pg.

Forget the PG. we have enough talent now to figure that out.

We need a guy like Dikembe off the bench that's what we need right now. Enforcer/shot blocker.

Looks like PG is running away with it.

The rise of Harden the playmaker made me not so certain. That said while Hardens been great the offense as a whole was better the last two years when he wasn't so much the de facto PG. Remember that first year... Heck those first games. He was playing off the ball more and still killing it.

It is a guards league now and while PBev has improved and Harden is amazing there are so many great points that as far as 1/2 combos go I guess he Rockets could definitely improve as a grouping there...

Now though is anyone really available?
