It's defiantly back up or starting pg. Although I would say a back up SG wouldn't be bad either. We have brewer who can play SG/sf if needed though. Defiantly a pg though that's preferably a shooter

I think our biggest need is a PG that can read the game and distribute accordingly. Bev is amazing as a defensive PG, but with his relative low game experience, there is still room for him to grow as a floor general.

As to another playmaker, I think McHale said it multiple times Parsons and Lin were two "north-south" guys that are not replaced. I kinda disagree.
I mean you have Harden who is top 5 in creating in the league. Then you have Howard who can post and pass it out. Then you have DMO, and now Smith. Smith is a "north south" guy. Make it work, will you.

I voted other for a new coach. I like McHale I just don't think he's the guy to take us to the championship. Too many bone-headed moves, takes a long time to make adjustments, I'm just an easy about him. I like him think he's done well this year but to get us the ring?

    better coaching

Houston fanbase that cares more about a really, really good basketball team than round-the-clock talk from now til May about the NFL draft, 40 yr dash times, should college football athletes be paid?, who do you think is better Houston: San Diego Chargers or Cincinnati Bengals?, did you see what Jay Cutler just ate for breakfast and tweeted?, OMG has anyone checked the NRG Stadium 24hr live turf-cam lately?, if Johnny Manziel was a ham sandwich do you think he would be a Croque Monsieur or a Cuban Panini?

How nice it would be if we were 30-5 and undefeated at home cause every seat was occupied 10 minutes before tip off with loud OKC-esque fans.

I think they're solid at every position. A back-up PG (who can shoot), is really the only thing I can think of that the Rockets are missing.

    PG Bev

    SG Harden/Terry/Brewer

    SF Ariza/Brewer

    PF D Mo/Smith

    C Dwight/Smith (I think he works well as a backup C)

    * Maintain defensive intensity
    * Improve shooting % both on 3's and at free throw (looking at you Dwight and Josh)
    * Give more minutes to Canaan's, Papa's and Brewer
    * Smarter and faster coaching decisions (at times) - both during the game and having courage to drop starters (Ariza I think needs a spell).
    * Get some rest into the Ariza's and Harden's

Maybe I'm blind or have rose tinted glasses, but I really think we have all the pieces with a deep bench now. It's time to fine tune things.

And something else which I'll throw out there, but our guys have looked exhausted at the end of the last few games. Could their fitness be an issue?

I voted PG because I'm hoping we get Dragic, but we really need to take care of the damn ball and stop turning it over so much.

    Other.

A better coach. A coach that knows how to run some plays, puts players in position to succeed and get the most out of the team.

shooters. for a team where every dude on the team has the green light to shoot early and often it disgusts me watching Bev and ARiza brick wiiiiide open shots.

Canaan should be getting some of Bevs burn (Bev ain't on fire defensively) and Brewer over an 82 game season ain't an elite shooter.

At least we are utilizing D-MO better and he isn't jacking 3s in high volume.
