Have League Pass and watch about 2 games per day in the season, trust me I know what I'm sayin.

Thing is, stats are the main thing when considering defense.

players are based on 2012 performances right? he used to be a good slasher and defender, but he's old now and primarily a 3 point shooter. ray has had the better career, but at this point in their careers i think terry is the more valuable player

that's my point. It's about team, not 1 on 1 advance stats that you're talking about... team basketball isn't one on one.. you can decide if the other one is good defender unless you seen them play.

Do you think LeBron will be a good defender if he's surrounded by 4 non-factor on defense guys? I'm sure LeBron defensive "advance" stats will drop

You read my post? Guys like Holiday are on great defensive teams but are bringing their team's defense down when on the court.

You can't play the "playing with scrubs on defense" card here.

maybe. Can we put it on hold until you make your picks? I gotta see who is available after everyone has their full roster.

Also Yung-T... let's say it's Lebron vs Durant...

if they're on the play where Durant is guarding LeBron, then Lebron got a nice pick from a bigman and that bigman let LeBron get to the basket and score, who get the stat drop? isn't it Durant?

To put an end to this discussion. Stats dont lie.

    2012 Season stats
Name MIN FG% 3PT% FT% REB AST STL BLK PPG
    J Terry 31.7 .430 .378 .883 2.4 3.6 1.2 0.2 15.1
    R Allen 34.0 .458 .453 .915 3.1 2.4 1.1 0.2 14.2

Allen >>> Terry. You say he's old but he's still better than Terry. Nash is nearly 40 and still a top 5 PG in the league. Allen is 36 and still is a top SG.

Possible, but it means Durant was lazy on the switch.

Lazy on the screen I should say, screen defense is part of defense.

There are defensive plays that let you switch, it's not about being lazy..

Now you see the "flaws" of this advance stats?

How do you explain that Holiday is bringin his team down when he's on the court? They all have a grudge against him and decide to play spotty on defense to make him look bad? :p
