Not only is Legend correct with the suggestion of a Bloody Mary, I find that having two Bloody Mary's works twice as well.
I just make sure i'm hydrated like a son of a b**** with water. that seems to work for me but some people can't drink that much water afterwards with all the liquor already in their system.
3 fingers of scotch, but what do I know? Personally, I suffered through some very horrible hangovers in my time and water, food before bedtime, and time seemed to get me through it. Not sure if my vitamins did much good. Try to eat early in the evening and pace your drinking. Don't get hammered.
This stuff tends to work pretty well. Mix one packet with water before passing out keeps you hydrated and hangover free. I highly recommend after a night of heavy drinking.
I'm with everyone on drinking water. I used to get hangovers a lot, but then I got in the habit of drinking water before I went to sleep and as long as I did that I would feel fine the next day. A lot of why you feel bad the day after is ur body is very dehydrated, I've lost 10lbs overnight because I drank too much.
my dad said in India they used to drink a glass of buttermilk. That sound like it would induce vomiting with me.
Once again, with my MEXICAN remedies here : For hangovers: MENUDO. The spices and chiles mixed in with the meat and the heat will bring the "hangover" feeling down. I can't believe none of you with Mexican heritage have mentioned this For Drunkedness: I guess this is for I seem to forget how much or when, but one time, a few of my Mexican friends and I went out, and one of them got really really drunk... we went over to the bar, and another one of my friends said: "Let's go get him a brujita... that should get him sober'd up..." After a few minutes, HE WAS as good as new. A brujita is somewhat like a bloody mary, except it has chili powder and lemon and some other crap. It, again, releases the intoxication with the spices. You should be able to order a brujita in most Spanish-speaking clubs, and those with Mexican bartenders. No charge, I think.
Drinking water before you go to sleep is probably the best/easiest way to prevent a hangover. But to cure a hangover...I usually go with a gatorade and some advil, Vitamin Water "Revive" works pretty good IMO.
