What bothers me the most is the general ignorance about the game.

Players aren't assigned a certain number of shots per game.

The teams run sets, the sets create opportunities for a "good shot" and whomever is in the position to take that "good shot" does because it has the highest % chance to go in.

If the set doesn't create a good opportunity, a player has to create for himself, which is almost completely based on circumstance.

    Garbage article.

That's what I mean. I have no problem with using Harden's ISO play as a major option of offense especially in late clock. The thing is, it seems becoming the ONLY option of the offense when a game is on the line. A lot of times, the whole team might take 10 seconds just to set up such a play and Harden dribble out another 10s, ending with a very bad shot (himself or somebody else).

My take is: let Lin be the decision maker in early offense. It's quite obvious to me that, more often than not in this season, when Lin deferred less to Harden, the whole team plays better.

I don't know what on earth made Lin less aggressive, coaching or just himself. It could be both sometimes.

He needs to take it upon himself to initiate the offense more of his own will. If he isn't, that's on him, but if coaching is telling him to do that, then that's that. 16 shot attempts is a bit more than a PG should take but I understood he had to do that last night when everyone was bricking. Don't know wtf the article is trying to accomplish by saying 16 shots isn't enough. He's a freaking pg.

To be honest, I think it is already a common sense that lin should take more
shoot. When Lin is aggressive, which always mean rockets is in a good shape,
he dives more, actually possession more, in charge more.
This has nothing related to cutting harden's possession. They can coexist.

Simply looks at the data of lin's recent game:

    FGM-A FG%
    9-16 56%
    8-15 53%
    5-9 55%
    4-9 44%
    3-9 33%
    5-10 50%
    8-14 57%
    3-6 50%

Lin should take 12-15 shoots per game that is actually better for
this team. He simply defers too much especially when he is limited
    in his possession.
Sometime, we can just see a long back and forth for several runs
that he was put in the bottom line for spot up shooter.

What we really need to be talking about is why mchale refuses to play asik in the 4th quarter.

If Lin hits all 16 of those shots and they are 3 pointers and he's fouled on each shot (assuming he makes all his free throws) that's 64 points.

It's time for Lin to step up and take advantage the shots he gets every night.

While I heard Houston's commentators were joking about "does Jeremy have green light to shoot?" (at the minny game), I am wondering if the problem does exist behind the coaching.

I mean this clearly examined why Jeremy seemed too passive.

A couple of weeks ago, Sampson had a radio interview. I gathered from that interview that they want a pass first pg. This was during the benching of Jlin for no apparent reason.

Lately though, I think Lin is getting some nods to shoot.

I hate to say I feel sad everytime I see Jeremy standing in the corner or wing zone waiting, it is like you dip fries in the ketchup but you only eat the undipped side.

iF Jeremy Lin is feeling it, then he should farking demand the ball. Be more assertive, and tell Harden and others he is wide open. Give me the damn ball!

lin only takes a shot when it's there. he rarely forces. so how many shots he takes doesn't bother me whether it's only 8 or 20 as long as they are good. What really i want him to do is find a way to get to the line more and make free throws.

Actually of Lin's best offense comes from rebound. The kid can sure carry that ball up fast.

saw this last night when parsons was yelling at harden.

they're not liking at what harden is doing. Lin and Delfino don't really say anything but Parsons got super pissed off at Harden.

Somebody has to yell at Harden. Tired of this superstar treatment from the coaching staff.
