Some of us on here enjoy this board almost as must as we like the rockets. LOF make the bbs very painful.

Having Jeremy Lin on the rockets is like dating a solid 7 with about 1000 crazy relatives that think she's a 9. Solid 7 are nothing to sneeze at but sometimes it's not worth the baggage.

You're impressed that only 46% of the posts are from people who joined in the past year?

When did I say that? I said I can't wait till he is gone, which means he has either been traded for a better piece, or contract has expired and his services are no longer needed because we have a better option.

I would never sacrifice team success for one guy I don't like.

Detractors are one thing, fanatics are another. This board use to be a place of civil discussion of Rockets basketball, now its a circus of all things Jeremy Lin with irrational opinions thrown out everywhere, while throwing anyone and everyone under the bus to support it. (Although its been better lately.)

I never asked to run the team nor do I recommend giving away Lin. I simply stated I can't wait till he is gone and the circus ends. ;)

    wait, what?

lin has been benched several times during the fourth quarter of close games. are these not critical minutes?

play lin, play asik, and stop playing small ball!

I hope at some point ppl will allow the players to be accountable for the decisions they make when the ball is in their hands.

No, I was just pointing out that not almost all posts were from '12ers and '13ers the guy claimed. I don't like people exaggerating things.

Is there any reason the "although it's been better lately" trend can't continue, while at the same time you get to keep an improving player and expanded fan base?

If this post was anywhere close to true we would see my boy AB0 lighting it up on a nightly basis.

I know right. I'd rather Lin go on a turnover spree and hurt the Rockets in crunch time than to help them by winning.

mchale should definitely ride the hot hand.

if that is lin, then let it be lin. dont let chandler or dmo force more shots. when lin was sucking in his shooting(if he hasnt been benched already) he knows when to limit his shots.

and of course, for harden, he shoudnt force hero ball WHEN there is also someone else HOT on the team or if the beard has gone cold for the night

nice. so playing lin automatically = turnovers = losing games.

Meh, don't agree with the article. Parsons also had nights when he didn't get good touches even though he was on fire.

Rockets weren't getting enough attention last year & fans complained. Now Rockets are getting a lot of attention & fans complain about the type of attention. Some people stay miserable.

It's sickening how the media can make fans turn on their own player when he's just minding his own business and working hard on honing his craft. Can't everyone just be happy for the team and where it's gotten so far?

Seems to me like he's looking to pass, but no one is rotating or cutting. How you can tell when he's trying to pass... when he's looking at other teammates (not at the guy covering him, not down at the floor for an open path). Not saying this is the reason all the time, but it is at least half the time the clock ticks away. Plus paint chips taste terrible, except for the yellow flavor.

I see what you did there, but to be fair, Harden was the point guard that game. Anyways, the article is rather inane.

Yeah, we should be psyched about an article saying the Rockets treat their starting point guard like a prisoner or slave. . . .

Lin is more of a "go-with-the-flow" type player. It doesn't matter whether he has the hot hand or not, his game rarely changes. He is a great player and I love him on this team, but he seriously needs to demand the ball more, especially when no one outside of him and Harden got it going offensively... Also, I really don't care for Beverley in the 4th quarter, granted he is the better defender, he can't shoot to save his life.

i think he's learning how to be the go-to scorer in crunch time. prior to all-star break he was probably being told that he's forcing things too much and turning it over, since he used to take it to the rim or shoot like 80% of the time in those situations. now he's waiting for defense to commit one way or another but that drains the clock. i think he just needs to attack but learn to realize when the trap is there, there are better options on the team.
