Considering I tend not to get all feline like some of you dudes on here about how some athlete or celebrity has overachieved or outkicked his coverage(like any of y'all would have a shot with the actress or model that's coupled up with the athlete/entertainer in question) I waded into this convo because I hold the same passport as Seal and I enjoy his music. I don't think it's a question as to who is hotter, Klum or Roberts but if you want to debate who overachieved more, it's no question imo that it's Lovett. You might want to read the points mentioned by TheRealist in the post on pg 3 and then point out how many of those 5 Lyle Lovett had when he got Julia Roberts. Also, it's easy to pick ugly Julia Roberts pictures now but when Lyle Lovett got with her, she was on top of the celebrity/actress food chain. Very few actresses were considered hotter, either in terms of movies or in terms of looks. If we're talking overachievers, Lyle Lovett wins over Seal.
Celebrities are generally in ego driven industries. Is about valuing the SPOTLIGHT and value OPTIONS. Celebs are about FEEDING their impulses and their PASSIONS, not about controlling them. Will Smith said a key to his marriage with Jada is REMOVING OPTIONS from doing. Celebs cast ILLUSIONS and DECEPTIVE IMAGERY as their JOB. So they are susceptible to believing their OWN LIES? Too overconfident in their abilities? Reality and fantasy are too BLURRED for celebs to discern properly? I'm saying...because celebs are so NOTORIOUSLY BAD at keeping commitments, their private lives arent even WORTH discussing, whats the point? They are and probably forever will be a TERRIBLE EXAMPLE OF LASTING RELATIONSHIPS. Why do people even bother buying People and US Weekly Magazines and all the phony baloney writeups about their relationship statuses? In the end their only redeeming value IS THEMSELVES and their TALENTS, both artful and PHYSICAL ones. So Heidi...thanks for maintaining appearances and not letting yourself go
You guys should head over to FoxNews and read the comments there about this (especially the most "Liked" ones). Absolutely disgusting. Racism in america, alive and well on FoxNews
Too be fair though, Lyle Lovett makes enough better music than Seal to negate some of that. Hell, Mary Chapin Carpenter wrote a song about fantasizing about Lyle Lovett, and she's gay. (Actually, I'm not sure what that means.) Yes, this thread has moved from defending Seal to defending Lyle Lovett. Redeeming the post: Spoiler
