what am I saying.. I have no idea how long that would keep you out .. but it sounds like a lot better news than an elbow thing

I would look worse than Jimy in a uniform. I'd have to wear suspenders.

    Miceli gets out of trouble!

Still 6-3 going to the bottom of the 7th.

so I can put the yankee fans theory to rest .. did ANYONE hear about concerns of him having reoccuring elbow problems from anywhere besides yankee fans. because I didn't and my response was something like "then your team must not be too smart to offer him 3 years if they think this"..

thank goodness this isn't an elbow thing and that the last one was a batting injury.. makes me feel a lot better

    Just to be cautious...

While it is good news that its not directly his elbow, nothing will be confirmed till the MRI tommorow.

There are several ligaments that run from the elbow thru the forearm... and straining any of them anywhere can have repercussions that may need to heal fully before he can get back out there.

As for the Yankee fans saying he had elbow problems argument, I know the most diehard ones out there... and NONE of them wanted to see Pettite go regardless. Sure he's had elbow trouble, and sure they'd be the first to point it out... but not one of them will ever say, "let him leave... he has elbow trouble."

Oh, Jimy definitely has more hair than I do.

BTW, has anyone seen Redding without his cap on??? Dude is big time bald.

nick.. you're probably right. this person I'm referring to in particular probably has no crediblity since he was all pumped about resigning him and only started saying we don't want him after we signed him at which point he brought up the elbow thing.. I didn't believe it at all until that first game after it happened I was freaking out thinking.. "maybe he was right" and then again tonight...

I got even in my annoyance of him though.. he is from new jersey and I bought this 8x10 of andy and roger in an astros uniform that I like to carry in my backpack to hold up for him whenever I see him on campus :D

    Astros.com:

"Andy Pettitte left tonight's game with a strained left forearm, the same injury that landed him on the DL last month"

I actually think the Fox Sports report guys (who are based in Dallas) love it when either Houston teams lose, or their guys get injured... they only 'support' us because their feed comes on in houston as well.

They'd probably bump an Astros big win for a special story on Mike Lamb and Soriano if they could...

Regardless... they're goin back to MMP in a few minutes... but seeing as your source is from astros.com, I'm a little more comfortable.

I don't trust anything Fox Sports Net says.

Ill be happy when the Stros network starts up in a few years. Although, that means the possibility of Granato AND Worrell on the same broadcast.

My bad.... I was thinking Hank Blalock or Michaeal Young... and it came out Mike Lamb (who played for the Rangers as well).
