I'd say this year is a little different. Scola was not proven at the time. Ron Artest was the best all around player on our team this season.

then what would we do with Lowry and Brooks.? If we trade for a point guard, brooks or lowry are gone.

Why do Houston fans always want to bring in players out of their prime? I've never understood it.

The day that asshat Josh Howard becomes a Rocket will be the day that I am become a fan of another NBA team. Same goes for assmunch Terry and assclown Dampier.

God...if it isn't Steve Nash, now it is Jason Kidd! Who's next guys, Damon Stoudamire??

Can we quit with the weird obsession of getting PGs that are on the wrong side of 30? We need a backup C and a wing scorer (assuming McGrady never comes back to being anything close to what he was) before we need a PG.

I like Brooks and Lowry and this also can go for Scola and Landry. I'm tired of seeing people wanting to get rid of them (Scolandry) and bring in someone like a Yi...puhleaze.

I don't know about Terry and Erica Dampier is a nobody, but if there is ever a day that Josh "I hate America" Howard becomes a Rocket then I will find some other team to cheer for.

    Same goes for:

    Andre Kiridinko
    Pimple face Loozer
    Jerry Suckhouse
    Matt Suckpring
    Gaymut Hoekur

You guys can have all the doubts you want, I had dinner with a man who is in contact with Cuban(business wise) almost daily. The Mavs believed that Barea can fill Kidd's role. This man(name I won't disclose) has also played golf with Rick Carlisle three times the past three months, and has commented that he likes Ron as a player, but had his negative opinions on Ron. Cuban has already put together a deal that he believes will bag Artest this off-season. Im not trying to make this phony news up, and I respect Clutchfans enough to where I will report something if I feel it is legit, and worthy of a post(this information is not phony by any means).

Dirk's situation, ESPN reported that the girlfriend called Dirk's residence one time asking for his brother and that's how they met. Incorrect, the ex-girlfriend of Dirk(the one in jail crying that she is pregnant) had been calling for over a year asking for "Aunt ...." can't recall the name, but you get the point. The shooting coach, (Dirk's agent/best friend)as well as his other best friends have been skeptical for over a year. They have been skeptical, because they have been over to Dirk's house over 9 times, and have yet to see the girl who was in the backroom because she was scared to show her face. The friends were so skeptical they wanted to throw a party for the soon to be newly weds, and the girlfriend called Dirk claiming she was not coming 30 minutes before the party ended. This all but assured Dirk's friends that something was up. On a plane to game 5 of the playoffs this year, Dirk received information that his EX, was a con artist. He signed papers evicting the girlfriend and the police arrived to his home in Dallas to arrest her. The Ex answered the door claiming "you caught me" and asked the police to have time to get her belongings. The Ex locked the door to her room and tried to escape through a window leading to the backyard. She was able to get in to the backyard, but a cop was there to arrest the woman.

I am pretty credible when it comes to information. Sad I know more inside info on the Mavs then I do Rockets, but just trying to help you guys out. Thanks

As for under the money table, it is something that goes on in the NBA more than people would think. So, don't try and make this something this isn't. If the story is credible, I will let you guys know. Thanks.

It may go on, but I have a hard time believing that some guy who does business with Cuban and plays golf with Carlisle would actually be told of plans to pay someone under the table. If he was privy to such information, then he would have to be in the absolute inner circle of team operations, in which case he sure as hell wouldn't be blabbing about it over dinner.

I find it much more likely that the under the table crap is speculation on his part. Cuban probably is wanting to cook up a sign and trade or something of that sort, but I don't think there is much more to this.

Its financial business, the man that I went out to eat with is also family of mine. The money under the table was never clarified, but my family member is also not allowed to speak about this, even to me. By the smirk and laughter about the subject, common sense led me to believe that it was going on. He is in the inner circle of the Mavs to also answer that question. Im reporting the information, don't get on me about keeping you guys informed.

If McGrady is healthy I could see Terry & Hollins actually helping us out more than Artest would. Terry is the ideal PG this team needs. But man... I don't want Dallas fans to enjoy Artest. They don't deserve him.

I know the guy who puts chemicals in Mark Cuban's pool. He got to talking with Mark about the Rockets, and Mark said he'd like to trade Jerry Stackhouse for Yao, Artest, Brooks, and Scola.

I imagine it will be in the works soon.

Yes. Minny tried it with Joe Smith and they lost three first round picks...

Do the Mavs really plan on letting Kidd walk? If they do that they basically threw away their picks and their star pg for nothing....

McGrady won't ever be healthy again tho. Each year he gets older.

Management, atleast at the moment believes Barea can handle the duties. It sounds like Kidd will be somewhere else this summer.

That's the biggest thing, actually. Ron has said that he felt bad for what happened in Indy (especially to Reggie and Carlisle). I think they have a better relationship now, and I know that Artest to Dallas has been discussed for the past couple of off-seasons as an attempt to "thug it up." They want tougher players to compliment Dirk's game.

Jason Terry is a player that I thought could thrive in Houston back in the Yao-T-Mac heyday. He would play the point and get all the open looks that Rafer used to get, except he'd probably knock them down at a 40% clip. That offense would've been scary good. I fear that without a circa-2005 T-Mac, Terry's usefulness to the Rockets has gone down.
