Cuban throws out his Wang and he isn't feeling a thing from it.

At least the fans got a free chalupa out of it (plus hours of free toilet humor :))

Cuban is a no-class jack-off. Wang might just play better in LA. He's been working on his game, and he'll get more minutes.

You just don't make comments like that about your previous and current players. It makes the players you still have aware of your potential contempt. Did Rudy slam Quitten, even though he deserved it?

Mark Cuban, starved for attention. Well, you're welcome, Mark.

You guys want to hear something funny. According to Dallasbasketball.com Mark Cuban isn't even the one who made that comment. Mike Finley actually made the comment but Cuban is the one that was reported to have said it.

As for the comment itself ... I think it's being taken out of context. We all know that Wang has almost zero defense, and rebounding ability. That means that he will have to be counted on as a scoring option. In Dallas, Wang would have been the 6th option at best (Dirk, Finley, Nash, Raef, NVE would all be ahead of Wang as a scoring option) which means that he would have very little oportunity to score (5 points at most a game). Wang would also have been about the 3rd or 4th guy off the bench which again would mean limited minutes. how many points would you expect Wang to score in about 11 minutes a game?

Of coarse with more minutes he's going to score more points but he just wasn't going to get those minutes in Dallas.

With more minutes I think Wang will average 10 ppg, and 5 rpg. Remember Wang still won't start in LA.

What? Did you see Yao play aginst the US in the World Games? He had a sweet jay and could get his shot off whenever he wanted.

Even though I think Yao will be a great player I don't think you can use his performance against he US in the World Games as a measuring stick as to how well he's going to do in the NBA. Menk Bateer, and Wolkawiski (Argentina) also has some very good games, and they are both likely to suck in the NBA. Like I said, Yao will be a great player (Wang will also be good) but not because he played good in the World Games.

Yeah, because when he has some decent point guards and teammates to get him the ball, plus the fact that he won't have to play 12 of the NBA's best players night in and night out, Ming will look even better.

In time I think he will be better than what he showed in the World Games because of the reasons you gave. On most nights he won't be facing competition as good as what he saw in the World games. However I don't think it would be fair to expect that from him in his first season (or at least the forst half of the season). Besides the language barrier, he'll also have to get use to the rule differences between the NBA, and International Rules. He'll also have to get use to his new teammates which means that there is going to be a learning curve. Once he gets past these obsticles he should be one of the top centers in the NBA.

Anyone who still likes Cuban is a sucker.

Cuban is such a sleezebag who is basically a younger Mattress Mac. Except for the fact that Mac isn't a whiny little b!tch.

I used to be a fan of Cuban, until I realized that he was so attention-hungry that he'll say or do anything to be on TV. Anyone who falls for his act, might as well jump into the nearest lake.

Couldn't have said it better myself...:D

"The bottom line is he didn't want to be here,'' Cuban said. "He wanted to go someplace where he could get a lot of minutes.''
like..uhhh...duh "Marky" Mark. You're a sharp one alright. I mean, how stupid of Wang for wanting that, right?

Yea, I can't believe people still like that b*stard for turning one of the worst franchises in America (regardless of sport) into one of the best. Thanks to him we're never going to get another lottery pick.

Hey don't diss Mattress Mac. He does alot of things for the Houston and goes out of his way to support the Rocks. He also made his money by working unlike Cuban who just got freakin lucky.

I wouldn't say he's lucky and didn't have to work for his money. Well he may have been lucky that Yahoo threw all that money at him but he did have to work for it. I'm sure he spent quite a bit of time working to develope the program he sold to Yahoo.

This is an asinine statement at best. Lucky? Come on. Lets see. He sold his first company to Compuserve for over a million dollars. Then he started another company and was smart enough to sell it when the market was close to its peak. He builds and sells companies for profit and he is good at it. Now, lets see how he does with HD.Net.

With the way the internet market has gone, he was at least partly lucky.

Oh nevermind then. He is a sure-fire Nobel Peace Prize winner.

I never said he wasn't a good owner. I just said he's a really sleezy guy, who likes to have all the attention he can get. I have no respect for owners who like to be on the camera as much as possible. It's funny that he's in the same city as Jerry Jones.

Personally I could care less how much he was on tv, and could care even less about how bad he wants to be on tv. As long as he's helping the Mavs win he can do whatever the hell he wants (as long as it's legal, and moral).

Of course that's how a Mavs fan would respond. If Cuban were the owner of the Rockets, I prob wouldn't care either.

However, he's the owner of an in-state rival, and I just find him annoying, after I thought he was a breath of fresh air.
