By that news, I'm guessing either NBC Sports or AT&T is ready or close to making their buyout? Who knew Jon Singleton could move this along so quickly!?
I'm anxious to hear the update...but I'm completely prepared for this to be just another round of kicking the can down the road. If there were a plan in place for reorganization, they'd be presenting it today...glass half full says they're asking for more time because there's something real...glass half empty says they've been at this for an ass long time now, and still don't have a plan to present. I need to see some Springleton baseball on a nightly basis, though! Make it happ'n, cap'n.
I quit Comcast in April and now am feeling the brunt of missing Astros games. I guess I know how it feels now.

Crane is screwing us! This team is an abomination! We'll lose 163 games this year! Just thought I'd straighten that out for you.
This post is a prime example of a lack of tolerance, baseless mocking and complete extortion for a viewpoint shared by many and is why these threads get derailed. The other side of the debate could just as easily constantly paint their opposition as clueless hypersensitive homers but that's not happening here.
So who is your money on? NBC Sports group or AT&T? I think we'll know on this next big meeting. Personally I hope NBC keeps it because I think their coverage will be better. I don't believe AT&T/DirecTV/Roots does news, just games only. Being able to watch CSN I love their coverage. I don't think there's any chance the teams go back to Fox but what do I know?
I will continue to say for those that don't have it, that xfinity is leaps and bounds beyond the competition. And this comes from a Comcast hater, but I made the switch at the beginning of last astros season and once they upgraded me to Xfinity I've loved them. yes, yes, yes, I will add the caveat that their products below that level suck, are always broken and their customer service is infuriating and makes them useless. but the xfinity interface is intuitive in desing, slick, and really beats the ish out of Uverse (which I absolutely loved before I switched). I say this for those of you on the fence. I always thought I would switch right back when the rox/stros were picked up by Uverse - now there's no chance.
My guess would be that Comcast is trying to secure carriage deal with ATT/DTV in conjunction with buying out the Astros and possibly the Rockets. There could be an investor coming in to buy out one or both teams as well.
I have seen some of the news and oher programming done by Root Sports NW. It's actually pretty good. Seahawks Insider was a really good show last year...and it was co-hosted by Warren Moon.
Ha... best post ever. +1 He'll forever be oblivious to the fact he's the reason these threads get closed.
