We're back in Judge Isgur's court for today's Houston Regional Sports Network bankruptcy update conference.
Comcast and the Judge are both indicating there is a big fight looming. My hope is that Comcast get something worked out with ATT/DTV about the MFN , get their start up loan paid back, the Crane duped lawsuit gets dropped and Comcast just goes away. Hopefully those things might convince them to let this deal go through without a prolonged fight. The ATT deal with 80% carriage is the best thing as fans that we have heard in 2 years.
Sure... just saying that the "announcers are employed and paid by the Houston astros..." (thus, unless the Astros fire him, he's going to be the announcer on Root).
"Boozle222, does that Clutch site say that we're getting Comcast soon?" - My dad circa every phone call we have.
Announcers are hired by the team and transfer regardless of where the games are broadcast. That's intentional and stems from the old radio days where teams were afraid of losing their famous voices if they jumped from one radio brand to another.
I just went to look at switching back to Uverse, their internet options are crappy. Max in my area is 16mbps?!?!?!
So if this new deal goes through does that mean those with the U-verse sports package will have to pay even more for the channel, or a seperate fee for it? I'm assuming AT&T will make it's money by charging a fee for the channel.
Yikes, I was way off with his name....lol. I can't stand that guy. The side scenes with him going on about twitter are as excruciating as seeing Pancakes on tv.
I'd pay a bit more for it. I think my limit would be $10 more, but I would complain about it. $5 is cool.
Who will host the Rockets halftime show? What will be the channel number? Will Julia Morales give me an HJ?
Too quick on the trigger, a better answer for question 3 would have been "only if she can use Howard Chen's hands"
