Wow, I just saw it on the news. It was torn up like hell.

There was a overview of the area and there were only 2-3 houses standing where there should have been like 10.

Well found out through people that the beach house is indeed gone. All that was left were pilings and the slab. Were just waiting until we are allowed to go there. Who knows when that will be.

    I'm sorry to hear that.

The mayor lifted the ban of "look and leave" policy today. There is a traffic jam down there. Might wait a few days.

Sorry to hear that. By the looks of it, I'd be surprised if Crystal Beach gets back 50% of it's residents. There's nothing left. I've honestly never see anything like it. Complete towns wiped off the face of the earth.

Just saw a report that they might take the lifted ban back, and re-ban anyone returning... they will give it another day and see, but it caused major trouble on the roads. People were shouting at the law enforcement and people were having to turn around after waiting several hours to get on the island.

One lady on the ABC story said, "I can see now why they don't want us to come back... there's nothing to come back to" (while she was looking at her water damaged apartment).

They should have done an organized deal where they let certain streets back and expand it every day so people don't all rush down there.

Agreed. Similar to the phased evacuation.

Ours was about 155k after everything. It wasnt anything too special, but some are upwards of 900k+.

They range from 60k to about 1 million. Depends where, what beach, how close to the shore, age etc...

Sorry to hear about the loss of property BRR, I am sure you had some good memories at that house.
