Who blamed Dell Demps? Further, Demps worked for Stern apparently, so if anyone knew Stern would veto the deal it was Demps and not Morey or Kupchek.
Why do you respond to a question with another question? But I'll answer your question, because I don't avoid them like you. Since you're a contributing member now go back and read your own posts. You didn't know what game the kiss of death occurred in and you try and call out somebody else's fanhood. That's pathetic. I'm sure you'll try and spin it and say you just made dumb mistake. Now, just answer the original question and stop ducking and dodging like you always do. If you don't, then we're going to assume you're a blind supporter of Morey just like you are of Battier.
Cause is wrong. He was wrong about Lin. Small error, no biggie. Was big on Dorsey. Small error, big consequences. I blame him for targeting Gasol and not a superstar CP3, and not a young star. I blame him for taking chances on somebody else's busts. Flynn trade was ok, dumping Thabit would be good, traded for Terrence.
Stop changing the subject. Answer the original question. Did you ever take my advice on that name change from Nook to Intellectual Crook?
So I have to prove my case AND your case, every time, while you sit back and bark orders? Gotcha. The original question was my question. Talk to me when you stop being a troll.
Not it wasn't. I know you have reading comprehension issues, but go back and reread this thread. You don't have to prove anything. I asked you a simple question that I'll repeat for your convenience: Have you ever criticized Morey for anything? Don't play verbal gymnastics. It's a direct question and the answer needs to be direct as well. Lol, you did exactly what I said you were going to do instead of providing us with an answer to the question. You ducked and dodged and avoided the question like you always do. You are a classic case of homerism at its finest. If you avoid the question AGAIN, then it's plainly clear and evident that you're a blind Morey worshiper just like you are a blind Battier worshiper.
He won't, because there isn't one... He just makes **** up.. I used to think he was a troll, now pretty sure he is just stupid.
Your trolling is at a dangerously high level. C'mon Nook, quit riding my jock. That's your wife's job.
The OP's criticism of Morey had nothing to do with Lin, Dorsey, Flynn, Thabeet or Hill, and you didn't address my questions as to why the OP is silly to begin with. Furthermore, it's disingenuous to criticize Morey on Lin without also criticizing every other NBA GM who passed on drafting the kid, the Warriors GM for having him for a full year realizing nothing, and the Knicks who ALMOST cut Lin themselves before the Nets game. In fact, it's fairly likely that if the Knicks PG spot had been respectable to begin with Lin would be on another teams bench or still looking for a team. No GM in the NBA saw something in Lin and thought they just absolutely had to sign him. The Knicks are where they are with Lin by sheer happenstance. Nothing more.
I wasn't me. Never said OP was silly. Simply gave examples what Morey could be criticized for. On the contrary I think his reasoning is flawed.
Maybe it only makes sense to me. I could be wrong. No sarcasm intended. I just cannot believe that the league would not start to hear little bits of the failed trade and privately reach out to the teams and kill the deal much earlier than it ever happened. I would think that Morey/Les would have the repoire with the league where someone would have talked to them much earlier about it being a no go. I remember that day and there was a point where it seemed the deal was dead because either LA or NO had pulled out. Most of us accepted that. Doesn't matter. KM is going for 30 tonight and we are sure to either get the 8th seed or the 14th pick. Awesome.
Um...are you a moron or what? Dell Demps is held responsible because he's the one who signed of on the deal as NO GM. DM and the Lakers had almost no accountability because they did their due diligence and Demps said in conversations that Stern and Stu Jackson were informed and had already given their go ahead. Are Morey and Kupchak supposed to talk to Stern and ask him directly even if Demps already said he had already agreed? Do GMs routinely bypass other GMs and go to the owners when they're trying to cut a deal? If you want a team that is clearly tanking just watch the bobcats and leave the site. If your tanking BS is right then they should be contenders next year and you can come back say I told you so to everybody.
The real screwup with the initial trade was losing Chuck Hayes. I'm a firm believer that if Chuck was still on this team we'd be a top 4 lock in the west.
He is? Any examples of people blaming Dell Demps for not knowing Stern would veto the trade? The stuff I've read do not blame Demps. Instead, reports for Wojnarowski and others say that Demps kept the league office (and the Hornets chairman Sperling) appraised at all times and Stern pulled a highly unusual maneuver which nobody reasonably expected. Got a link of any article as to people putting the blame on Demps?
