Being moderate equates to getting votes therefore being moderate is admirable? logic/morals fail.

    WOW!!! Keep it classy Paul.

"This is the king of bacon talking about bacon,"

Paul said about Christie on CNN's The Situation Room.

You should look at the Rand Paul isolationist policies. Same people realize you can't run the country like its 1923 anymore.

Christie already has my vote simple because he is the king of bacon. Bacon is one of the best things on the planet, so I must vote for its king.

    Paul backfire.

What's really telling is that was Paul's elegant comeback in retort to Christie pointing out that Paul should "start cutting the pork barrel spending" he brings back to his state, citing statistics that show Kentucky receiving more than double for every dollar it sends to Washington than the state of New Jersey.

This is going to be so much fun to watch over the next few years..

Chris Christie Stabs Rand Paul in His Red State Moocher Heart

If there’s one thing that really hurts a red state conservative, it’s reminding them that their states tend to be welfare bums living off of the generosity of prosperous blue states. The 47%, if you will, who won’t take responsibility for themselves.

On Tuesday, Republican Governor of New Jersey Chris Christie used that fact to return fire against Republican Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, who accused Christie and Republican Representative Peter King of being the reason the government was bankrupt.

Speaking at a news conference on Tuesday, Christie scoffed at Paul’s “gimme, gimme, gimme” jabs and reminded everyone that New Jersey is a donor state, according to Politickernj, getting .61 cents back on the dollar while Rand’s Kentucky gets $1.51 for every dollar.

“I find it interesting that Sen. Paul is accusing us of having a “Gimme, gimme, gimme” attitude toward federal spending when in fact New Jersey is a donor state and we get 61 cents back on every dollar we send to Washington. Interestingly, Kentucky gets $1.51 on every dollar they send to Washington,” Christie said, according to Huffington Post.

“So if Sen. Paul wants to start looking at where he’s going to cut spending to afford defense, maybe he should start looking at the pork barrel spending he brings home to Kentucky.”

Because KY is #2 on meth lab busts in 2012?

No, I'm kidding that's not the reason (although that fact is true)

Mark is suggesting we drug test the whole state from what I gather, maybe I don't understand what point he was trying to make.

You're right. You'd have to be completely crazy not to want to murder as many foreigners as you can possibly get your hands on so that they'll love you.

I wouldn't say complete isolationism but we can't keep bending over backwards (or in Obama's case, forwards) trying to play a superhero and spreading ourselves thin.

Why are the people of New Jersey so much more productive than the citizens of Kentucky?

Yes, if we're going to drug test unemployment recipients and welfare recipients then why not drug test Kentucky since the state is the equivalent of a welfare recipient. It's an extension of conservative policy.

because some want to drug test those on welfare, those same people should support drug testing all the citizens in a state that receives more than it gives? I am failing to see the logical connect. Why not drug test the whole country since, as a whole, we take more than we give to the federal government. It was a stupid comment, not sure why I responded to him.

There are states that receive much more in federal money than they produce. By conservative definition they're takers and the other states are makers. Conservatives are always taking takers to task so why not taker states? What's the difference? The federal debt is that because of taker states, not maker states. Why drug test maker states? We don't drug test millionaire makers, only the welfare recipient takers. That's a pretty logical extension of conservative policy. Of course drug testing states isn't practical but putting some kind of restrictions on that state's types of spending practices would be the same logic for drug testing welfare recipients.
