white? Man, there sure are a lot of white folks in Utah...Not that there's anything wrong with that...
Cut them some slack. They just discovered television 2 years ago so they are a bit overwhelmed by modern pop culture. It was hard enough on them when they stepped into the 21st century and realized that the Jazz paid Karl Malone and didn't actually own him.
lmao, a Doctor? Curse? Kicked Out? wow this country seriously needs better education in medical school.
Jeez...just from a couple pics,...I'm creeped out! Creepiest fans in the whole league...scary. I'm proud of the couple Rockets fans who ventured there, but for me,...well...like Churchill said if you are going through it..."keep going"...
Those fans are creepy, but we can all learn something from them. I wish our doctors and capitalists, sitting in the front rows, would give the players and refs hell instead of going to the bar for a mojito.
Apparently Utah is 95% white according to wikipedia. 1.32% black, 2.4% asian, and 1.69% native american. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utah#Race_and_ancestry
The strange part to me about Jazz fans, and I guess then people in Salt Lake City in general, is that as obsessive as most of us on here are about the Rockets, Jazz fans take it to a strangely stalker-esque level. It's as if there is nothing else to do in Utah. I've been to Utah - sure, culture may be a little strange, but that has the potential to be an awesome state. As opposed to nothing else to obsess about, there is so much a Utan (what the hell do they call themselves anyway?) could be doing outdoors, etc. They're just strange - perhaps that's what makes their home court advantage one of the best in the league, but still.
Nothing better than watching Jazz fans eat crow at home. I was actually at the Van Halen concert in Dallas, got home at 1 am, and proceeded to watch the game on DVR not knowing the outcome. Yes, that was me hooting and hollering at 2:30 am when I realized we won! It was a special night all the way around. Jazz fans got a taste for a change at home. Good times.
Perhaps they were...playing the Warriors? jazz fans are idiots. I'm not just saying that because we're playing them right now. I understand being biased, but those morons boo EVERY SINGLE CALL that goes against them. Like someone else said, they would probably boo an intentional foul. I remember back in the stockton/karla days their sports radio station was opening up their broadcast by saying "championship jazz radio". Uh....what championship are you referring to? They are seriously delusional.
I think they are obsessed with the Jazz because they have no other major sports teams there. Most other major cities have 1 or 2 other major sports teams while the entire state of Utah has just the Jazz.
Yeah even Bill, Matt, and Clyde were commenting on the "lack of class" by the Jazz fans. About the only cool Jazz fan was the mascot. He walked up behind Bill, Matt, and Clyde during their pre-game comments and held up a sign that said "Hi Clutch".
Sorry you had to read those, Clutch, and thanks for removing. What I wanted to say definitely has nothing to do with religion. I was waiting all night to wake up and post this. There is NOTHING better as a Rockets fan than watching the Jazz fans sit there on their Jazz hands after a home loss to the Rockets. I recall a game in the mid-90s where we hit threes like nobody's business and just DRUBBED the Jazz in their building. We had a 30 point lead in the 4th quarter, and all the Jazz fans sat there in place, staring sadly. Nobody left; they just watched the slaughter. And it was so beautiful. And last night, to see the Jazz fans again, sitting around after our gutsy win, brought back that amazing feeling.
I would NEVER want anyone from Utah.. much less that drunk asshat working on my eyes. I think I would have matress Mac work on my eyes before that guy.
