Hero never actually plays during the movie, but it does play right after one of the great movie endings of all time when Peter leaves Mary Jane all alone in the graveyard.
Embarrassed to say but I did jam to Limp Bizkit in the early 2000's...all my black friends roasted my ass for at least a year. I did it all for the nookie (Come on) the nookie (Come on) so you can take that cookie And stick it up your (yeah) Stick it up your (yeah) Stick it up your (yeah) lol seems like a lifetime ago
Never listened to The Bizkit other than the radio songs you couldn't avoid, but early 90's folks had 311's "Music", which is to this day a fantastic album. They seem to have similar career trajectories.
Do yourself a favor and listen to their cover of "Faith" or the song "Counterfeit". These are legitimately good songs. They're from the early days when Limp Bizkit had tons of promise. That promise faded with each album, unfortunately.
I don't need favors, I lived it. I feel Bizkit like I feel Kid Rock (and I already mentioned 311): early on there were some great songs, but then...
I hear you. Just didn't know if you'd heard the earlier stuff since it wasn't on the radio, as you said. Was a great era for music. Maybe I just feel that way because it was my heyday.
I look at Kid Rock now and think, "what happened to the guy who did Cowboy and Bawatablah"? Those were legit stupid fun songs. My favorite line from Cowboy that hit my earlier days of being a white JrHigh kid who learned things from PE and NWA, that for some reason I still remember, was "I'm not Straight out of Compton, I'm straight out the trailer"
You've already said AC/DC is one of the most overrated bands ever. Back in Black is the #2 best selling album of all time. May want to hang with Manny & the Emos on this one...
Never cared for Limp but Rollin' was a fun song to jam to. Crazy that the video was shot on the top of the WTC tower.
AC/DC was awesome when I was 14 years old, after that not so much at all. The Eagles have 2 albums that sold more, Celine Dion sold a bunch, what does that tell you about the general taste of humanity?
It was #2. Looks like it went to #3. https://www.vocalzone.com/the-recor...-10-worldwide-bestselling-albums-of-all-time/ As to humanity?
Creed easily. Mark Tremonti is a great guitarist even despite Scott Stapp being Scott Stapp. Alterbridge for the win.
Hero is not a Nickelback song its a Chad Kroeger solo song the band rejected it when he brought it to them according Tremonti's solo band is great too
Nice, I haven't heard that yet. His guitar tone is always perfect. His riffs are enough to be interesting without being overbearing. Dude just oozes style in a genre that's usually pretty stupid and lacking depth. Even Scott Stapp on a microphone couldn't cover up his genius.
Tremonti has 5 solo albums and its great stuff even heavier than Alter Bridge but still has those harmonies that are rare in todays heavy music.
