Where do you guys go to get your crawfish fix? The wife and kids have been bugging me lately on finding a good place for some. We already tried Rajun Cajun and they were way overpriced and undersized. Huge let down
Stadia has an amazing deal on Sundays and Mondays..$25 all you can eat or 2 lbs. for $6. Went 2 weeks ago and the size was not bad plus excellent taste. I went and ate there on Friday though ($6/lb.) and the crawfish didn't taste that fresh.
La Crawfish at Ranch 99 market is seasoned well and tends to have decently sized crawfish for the money. At least the times I've been there. Boiling crab is a popular place but be warned, it's on the expensive side and the lines are long. Seasoning is very good.
Forgot to mention this was the one in Sugar Land but they have a few more locations all over the place.
First time I ever had crawfish I was living in Singapore. The things were huge. They only brought out the tails and there were the size of lobster tails. Not having had them before, I thought this was normal. When I moved back to Houston I went to the Rajin' Cajun' and was extremely disappointed when they gave me a bucket of itty bitty whole crawfish. If anybody knows if there's a place in town that has those really big crawfish tails, I'd be interested.
Yeah I've been to Singapore and saw their crawfish... apparently different parts of the world have different sized crawfish. Except, I was the exact opposite. I had Rajin Cajun (pretty good for me, I have low standards) before going to Singapore. I was like "this aint crawfish breh"
That sounds good, but I don't know if they serve that. It's a Vietnamese place that serves both types of food. The crawfish is among the best I've ever had; so flavorful, especially the spicy!
The best crawfish that aren't boiled in your backyard are at the Crawfish Shack in Crosby. It'll be worth trip, just be prepared to wait in line.
