grocery stores in poorer areas are obviously less clean, i can't argue with that. and i really can't blame you for wanting a clean grocery but i just think you're making a big deal about it. believe me, i've been to the fiesta on airline and the one on wirt which is in the same spring branch area but certainly different clientle, it just doesn't bother me. to each his own
I don't make a big deal about, I just don't shop there. I go to the even crappier Food Town on 45 and Little York. But atleast the prices there are not crazy.
i work with a company that does surveys for fiesta. they have about three huge stores like the one on blaylock but the atmosphere on blalock was top of the class. that store is beautiful. there are a lot of smaller stores that are "ghetto" but there are also a lot of small stores "wayside" which have a personality of their own. that store is about the busiest i have seen and one of the smaller ones. shame this one is closing though. it was a model fiesta
I will say this..... they better re-open one in spring branch. (the other fiesta is way too small) my solution would be..... to buy out kroger's on wirt and convert it into a fiesta. In fact, if i owned kroger's, i would add the word mercado to certain krogers It works for HEB in south texas.
Agreed that the one on Wirt is way too small. I thought they were building an HEB on Silber, down the block from D&B. Maybe Fiesta can buy that land since it seems to be for sale.
