I didn't assume anything. I didn't post the entire article because it was long (Swoly-D).

The article identifies the drug as cocaine. Sorry I left that part of the article out of my original post, I didn't realize it wasn't in the first paragraph.

Moes- Your social smokers are the party kids in College and such that will toke up from time to time.

There is an increasing amount of folks that will smoke 3-5 times a week. Especially if they have access to good clean weed. Texans smoke a lot of crap.

Actually I was talking about tobacco too. Not a lot of "casual smokers" when it comes to cigs.

Trust me, there are plenty of casual smokers out at bars and clubs. They "quit" smoking, so they're always bumming off people when they drink because they don't want to buy packs and get back in the habit.

When I was a regular smoker and barhopper, I'd get accosted by casual smokers all the time looking to bum a smoke.

This happens to me. I smoked for a couple months straight back around October-December.

Then I quit for New Years until a few weeks ago when a guy in my class offered me one, so I will bum them now but I try my damndest not to buy any more packs.

Right, except that sometimes it can be judged that doing X is too likely to cause Y then society cares to allow.

Is that fair? Sure. Is it done correctly in each instance? Maybe, maybe no.

What about that fat b**** who is eating herself to death?

Isn't she indirectly endangering the life of her child?

Should we outlaw funnel cakes and Mr. Pibb?

    Be Fired ?

They would fall under baseballs drug policy rules.

Which I am assuming would be a 15 game suspension and possibly other penalties.

    Agree . . .

It's certainly not like steroids, gambling, or committing a violent felony.

I can't believe I am defending drug usage, but . . . isn't it up to that person, if they want to fry their brains or not. Aren't you supposed to be able to do things like that in privacy on your own home, especially since it is a victimless activity.

exactly, my point is why would Washington be judged by rules that govern the rest of us as far as employment is concerned and not the rules of baseball (even though he's not a player)

whichever side of the fence you're on, what seems to be clear is that he wasn't subject to any rules...

...well, except the one requiring a sincere and heartfelt apology, which apparently got him off the hook!

i'm not on the any side of any fence other than baseball has lax rules for first time offender players, should the manager be subject to those rules?
