    I don't see why.

Blake is a big man but that does not make him automatically more valuable than Harden.

Not only that Blake is ALWAYS hurt. That is a factor, Harden has been way more durable and he throws his body constantly into the lane.

Blake is not a big man that you can run a offense through and he does not dominate the post on defense...Like say Duncan or Gasol.

You can run your offense through Harden and he's proved that if you put other superstars around him he becomes insanely efficient. Insanely efficient.

Not only that but Harden is pretty skilled up and most of his problems are mental. Meanwhile most of Blake's problems are actual skills that he has to gain to become a tier 1 player.

If Harden just stops ball watching and gambling on defense...and lets the game come to him on offense then he suddenly becomes this Lebron-lite player that is racking up assists, rebounds, and dropping 25+ on about 10 shots. That's not something that is easily out there. That's not something many guards can do.

Not many guards in the NBA can produce how Harden produces.

I think Paul might team up with Dwight and what's left of Kobe after the Lakers amnesty Gasol. They still have the amnesty, right?

Griffin isn't really sniffing the all nba teams with his performances, but he's on the supermax because he can dunk and stuff, he's a bit of a salary cap sinkhole, he's travelling on first season glamour and potential that doesn't seem to be coming to pass.

It's sort of disappointing, I said he'd be the best pf in the nba by the end of his 3rd season, but other than his free throw shooting, he seems to be regressing if anything (sure, he tries jump shots, but they're crap and then he stops doing them).

yes, but if you take into account kobe's 30m, nash's 9, metta's 8, hill and blake's combined 7.5, then the few m of space holds, they're already busting the luxury threshold with Dwight resigning.

So long as Kobe is kept, there is and can be no CP3.

I would tend to agree with this... but a couple points..

CP3 really got sick of keeping Griffin and Jordan in line last year, and likewise the Clippers younger players were tired of Paul's constant talking.

Sterling is not a great owner and won't be able to get Phil Jackson, whom is well aware of Sterling's personality and frugality.

The Clippers really are not as stacked as people seem to think. He would get as far or farther on Houston or Portland.

Right, but you are just going by stats without factoring in that his role has changed and his minutes are way down. His PER is the same, and besides his FT shooting his defense and passing and jumpshot have improved immensely. I understand that most of the exposure to Griffin is through highlights and a few horrible series against the best frontlines in the league, but he's a much more complete player than you guys are giving credit. Saying "he can dunk and stuff" is a really kneejerk way of describing his game since he gets maybe one or two dunks a game tops.

It's hilarious how one satirical TJ Simers article and suddenly the Clipper player are all at each other's throats. From everything I've read, they had great chemistry in the lockerroom. Obviously going out in the first round is a big blow but everyone here is really selling Memphis short if the argument is just that the Clippers suck. I mean, how about giving some credit to the fact that they played a very good team that had the same number of wins as them? It's really more an unfortunately anomaly of the schedule this year that one of these teams had to lose so early.

I'm not saying that's his game, I'm saying that's why he's on the supermax (2 all star vote ins because he can dunk and stuff, the other ways are 1 mvp - Rose or 2 all nba - no one yet).

I'm sure it was overblown, but listening to Dwight and especially CP3, there's one question that will pervade all free agent meetings, and it's the most important question in the world.

"If I sign, how do we beat Miami?", it will be the elephant in the room, and I might be under selling its importance.

Paul/Harden/Parsons/Howard would be awesome. Let whatever young PF emerge start along with them. I am pulling for Tjones.

I can't see CP3 leaving LAC. A very miniscule chance, perhaps.

He loves it there, and he's going to get paid big-time. Not to mention he's going to have every say in coaching decisions as well as personnel. If he resigns, I would not be surprised to see Del Negro gone and a lot of roster turnover.

Chris Paul is getting kind of old. I don't think he wants to on a team full of rookies. Indiana or Denver are the best places for him at this point in his career.

They day CP3 signs is the day the Clippers don't have to listen to him anymore. He will let them know exactly how he feels about everything, watch them obey his every command and THEN sign the extension.

Plus, Atlanta has to go through Miami just to play in the Finals. I know the WC has OKC, but they are not the Heat.

No it's not. Why you ask? Because the low-post scoring threat that we so desperately need is nowhere to be found in that starting 5. That's a 2nd round playoff exit at BEST.
