Sounds like the Rockets came to that conclusion. If he's not able to contribute, then there's no sense in running him out there. But this really sucks.
Mike: Everyone came to the same conclusion. There's no way. I'm sure he's devastated. He couldn't explode or push off it. Not ready. Knew it was a long shot when it happened. It's gonna be a little bit. How long? Only worried about today. Got bigger things to take care of.
liability on defense when any of the guys forced into the rotation have pretty much done nothing defensively
At this level marginal differences are magnified especially on D where you're reacting to what the opponent is doing. I have no doubt CP has the mentality and the skills it's whether his body will let him do it. I would love for a story book ending of a hobbling CP3 leading the Rockets past GSW and getting to his first NBA finals but stuff like that rarely happens. All of that said it's starting to look like he won't play anyway..
If we lose this, I’ll never be the same! As far as I’m concerned the 2018 NBA champs are either the Rockets or nobody!
Even though I was one of those saying CP3 might be a liability if he played I'm still sad he's not going to be out there. I'm guessing he'll be on the bench again in uniform cheering. I hope his presence and coaching can get the Rockets past the GSW..
Does ruling him out actually prevent him from playing? My gut says if we get to the 4th quarter in a close game, he'll jump in there to give the team an emotional boost.
Uh, no. He's out. If he literally can't push off his leg, then he can't play. The Rockets will have to get it done without him. He'll be back in the Finals if they can get over the Golden State hump.
Lol...fck SJL... Anyways...its all on you brother...Harden its game time. You would instantly become an NBA legend if you pull this off. No Iguodala to slow you down(we know that is their best wing defender)...Lets shock the world! GO ROCKETS...
