Please let there be a light at the end of the tunnel. High draft picks and a super bowl winner would make me feel great after this miserable season.
Not to mention having HOF coach on a team will attract many great players and many players would take less money in order to have chance of winning a title.
Man I don't give a **** if we pay 20 millions a year, I just want to see us winning, plus is it coming out of your own pocket..?
Has any body read this article yet..? I know it's not relevant to the thread but am pretty sure that McNair will not fire Kubiak next season http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/12/16/AR2010121605622.html
Is it a universal law of Protest Signs that they can't be planned out ? Maybe the impromptu look expresses an immediacy of outrage.
Wouldn't boycotting all of the advertisers that the Texans receive money from help to get the message over to McNair. I'm not an NFL team accountant, but it would seem to me that most of the local advertising ends up being pure profit to Bob...and if you were to tell said advertisers that you were no longer going to buy their product if they continue to support an unpopular Texan regime, then maybe you could gain the support of the advertisers to put a little additional pressure on McNair to make a change. Just seems to me that if the fans really want McNair to hear their desire, then maybe they should start hitting him where it will start doing some damage...his pocketbook. Probably a silly idea...but apparently McNair seems to be deaf to the growing negative attitudes the fans are starting to develop.
Bob McNair is delusional. I hope to GOD we lose the last two, just so that Kubiak will have a better shot of being fired, and so that we can maybe have a better shot at getting some defensive help.
From Peter Kings MMQB article: 6. I think there will be a record number of Super Bowl coaches on the market, with a weak pool of teams with coaching vacancies. And that pool could be even weaker because, as I wrote recently, teams won't be aggressively seeking coaches the same way as usual because new coaches may have to go a long way into 2011 -- August? September? -- without putting an imprint on a new team because of the potential job action. Imagine six coaches who've worked Super Bowls being out there: Bill Cowher, Jon Gruden, Brian Billick, Jeff Fisher, Jim Fassel, John Fox. And all would want to coach in 2011. My guess is unless there's an opening in Houston, Cowher's going to stay in TV for one more year, at least. Link
HOLY CRAP, BOB!!!! How in the world can you let an opportunity like this pass you by??? Worse yet...how in the world can you let Gary Kubiak stand in the way of an opportunity like this??
why should money have any bearing on your opinion in this matter? it's not your money and it sure as hell doesn't count against the cap.... so why worry about what it will cost? bob is the billionaire owner of one of the most valuable franchises in the WORLD.
I can't believe Bob's serious about being "on the right track" when this team is 1-7 in their last 8 games. He has to be ****ing with us.
Bob reads that quote and thinks "Cool! I can still give Kubiak another year and if it doesn't work out again, I can still be in the Cowher sweepstakes next year."
2 insider requests(please and thanks): Texans DC possibilities(John Fox, Marvin Lewis top 2 guys?) Schefter blog Thanks again
Not just lose, lose big. No comebacks. Nothing to give Bob hope for next season. I doubt we'll beat the Jags, but Denver REALLY sucks. I'm afraid we might win that one. A loss is preferable though. How could you justify a 1-9 run to end the season?
