Of course, that's the cash that Robinson is stealing from us this year. I guarantee we get more out of Cowher than Robinson at that price.

I agree 100%. We have far too many good players to be playing like this. He and his staff would utilize every asset we have

Not sold on Gruden. The way he left Tampa wasn't pretty.

But Cowher might be able to instill something we severly lack --> KILLER INSTINCT

Thats exactly right. We need someone to light a fire under these guys butts and push them to where they havent been. Kubiak is too conservative, but Cowher would have had these guys motivated and determined to end the game in stride.

I've been on the let Kubiak go bandwagon for a while. Almost since game 1 this year, when they came out completely unprepared, unpolished and incapable of competing. It's gotten better, but it's clear that Kubiak can't get the team to find that killer instinct.

That said, if you replace him with a Cowher, Dungy, Gruden or otherwise, do those coaches want complete control (i.e. - their own GM)? Basically, shoudl Rick Smith be let go, too?

The Texans are soft as vanilla.

    A bunch of nice guys.

    They need a new identity.

    Cowher Chin FTW.

I will cease to support this team unless a change is made and Cowher would be a big change.

We would have to fire Kubiak for that info to surface. I think Mcnair will wait until after the season to fire him.

I dunno about that. I am usually for finishing the year or what not but to blow a call like that halfback pass is very damning. I also continue to question Chris Brown being the primary rusher. He isnt even a decent short yardage back since he falls sideways more than forward. He cant do much after the catch in the passing game. Gets 6 yards on wide open outside running lanes that Moats or Slaton would get 10-15 on. Thats also on Kubes.

Why not? Generally, GM/Coaches tend to suck long term wise because a coach really shouldn't be a gm too. And tends to screw up personnel decisions. But this team needs to improve NOW. And we have quite a bit of talent in place too. And it's pretty desperate for a quick fix.

Dream all you guys want. Bill Cowher will be the next head coach of the Carolina Panthers...not the Texans. John Fox is also as good as fired. Bill Cowher and his family live in N. Carolina.
