I can't believe he was doing coke at the beginning of training camp --- what a dummy. Wouldn't the old Jerry Jones be doing coke with him? Times have changed I guess.
LOL, they're back. Drew Henson must be loving this. Vinny could be so bad that Drew has to step in. Gonna be interesting.
Maybe he can retire like Ricky Williams and go do what he wants with his nose...like rot it off in a pile of cocaine. Scarface 2...anyone? "I built my wealth playing quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys. Now, I own a cocaine empire. Look at me now...you stupid f*cks! I kill you! I kill you! Viva La Cuba! You want a piece of me! You want some of this! You stupid f*ck...I kill you!" QC
Jerry and Bill apparently are not commenting on why they released him...just that they did and are "very disappointed". What kind of crap is that? How can you release someone and not give a satisfactory answer as to why? Are they waiting on the league to announce he failed a drug test?
Dah... you're right, what was I thinking... I saw him just the other day begging for change on the street corner... I'm sure he's really struggling to get by... Seriously though, now without that job it could be true... he'll be out there offering to suck dick for coke in no time! Atta boy Quincy!
Quincy really had a once in a lifetime with the Cowboys because Jerry was the only person in the league who thought he was any good. I can't picture any other teams picking him up especially after this flup up.
Man, I need to get better sleeping habits. I go to sleep at 10 AM, wake up and 3 and find that the USA is only up 1 pt to Germany, then tied, then winning the game on a last second shot by AI. After being excite in just a few moments watching that, I then open up Mozilla Firefox to fine this thread....wow. If the cocaine thing is true, which it or something like it probably is considering the timely release, then QC lost what respect I had for him. I really loved his comments on being a team leader the other day and not wanting "his team" to have to worry about who is going to be the QB. But this sure doesn't seem to be something that would help the team. I was actually expecting a little better from QC this year as well, since it would have been his first time to have 2 yrs under the same offensive system along with at least some running game and a possession WR. But I guess we won't even have to wait until the first week of preseason to even call him crap since he already proved that, again, if the report is true. Well, I guess the QB thing is at least settled somewhat. I remember thinking the other day about what would happen if QC played well this year and Drew Henson came along quickly, who would be the QB of the future? I guess QC answered that question for us all. Too bad now that Henson has a little bit more pressure to improve quickly, especially since he'll pretty much be the backup to a 40 yr old QB. Now, I think Vinny could do all right, maybe even play well. Hopefully, that fat, lazy, whiney guy who was wearing number 73 last year will go away, letting Larry Allen return to dominate again, along with Flo. The rest of the line has talent and potential, and the running game as well as passing game seemed to have improve greatly since last year, so Vinny may not have too much pressure. But he'll still have to play 16 games this season, if Henson isn't ready, and hopefully some more. I did read Henson looks good considering that he is essentially a rookie, but I doubt he's ready to face even the Vikings D once the season starts. At least Bill Parcells is coaching us. This must be quite a job for him.
Pinning the hopes of a franchise on a 40 year old Quarterback. Poor Cowboy fans You can expect to see a lot of this
That's what I'm thinking too. hutch may not be great but since he was already signed it would have been better to have him as the backup instead of Romo right now. As a Cowboy fan I am disappointed, but I have never liked Quincy, so a part of me is glad he is gone.
The real disappointment for me is just not being able to see if Quincy was actually going to make it as starter the second year. He had one full year of the Parcell's experience under his belt. I think he could only get better and worked hard the whole off-season. I guess that's not all he was doing. I think we all, deep down, wanted to see what Quincy would do this year. He finally got a full season under his belt. This would have been the "do or die" year for Quincy with Testaverde breathing down his neck. Then, this happens. It almost makes me wonder if Quincy wasn't looking for a way out. Who would be stupid enough to do a drug when they know they will be tested? I guess we're still waiting on the official news from the NFL on whether he did abuse a banned substance. If it was cocaine and the testing is random, then he probably thought he could get away with it. Who knows? He may have done it before building his confidence up to think he could continue to beat the system. He let down a lot of people. I'm sorry I ever tried to get on the Quincy bandwagon if this is what I get in return....a cut player who blew his chance and had the potential to be a good qb. This is not natural. This is like the freaking Twilight Zone. This crap only happens there. This never happens.
I never said he was begging on the street, I just said he does not make MILLIONS of dollars like you said he did. Just helping you get your facts together. And why are Cowboy haters so happy about this. No one in Cowboy country is concerned. We have the QB for this year in Vinny and the Qb of the future in Drew Henson
