This wouldn't surprise me, though they don't like to pay people very much. But can you imagine TO on one side, Moss on the other, and Wes Welker running through all the holes in between?

How in the world are they going to replace that amount of <strike>talent</strike> drama? Ringmaster Jerry better step up to the plate if he's going to keep the circus in town.

I'm guessing Giants, Steelers or Saints.

I hope nobody picks him up

Has the Cowboy organization said anything yet?

I don't agree that he is top 5 anymore.

Larry Fitz, Boldin, Randy Moss, Andre Johnson, Reggie Wayne are all better imo. I think Holt is potentially better at this point on the right team, and maybe young guys like Braylon Edwards and Calvin Johnson. Owens just drops too many passes and has lost a lot of speed.

    Well that's a shame...

Somewhere, Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson are doing more than just their average celebration - probably having the craziest and wildest sex they have ever experienced with each other.

Hopefully, the Broncos won't be stupid enough to sign him (would love for them to get Holt though to play alongside Marshall). They finally got rid of the Mastermind in Shanahan (what a joke - him being a "Mastermind") and about botched things with Cutler. They definitely don't need a headcase like Owens on the team; they already have them in Cutler and Marshall. :p

Wow, the Cowboys cut a quality athlete they got from a division rival for personality issues. I guess with Jones paying both he and Roy Williams $9 million per, he had to go with the younger guy who hadn't either OD'd on sleeping pills or started a feud with the QB and coach for his last two teams. Thank goodness he's not a Quarterback, or he'd probably have Jeff George's career.

On one hand I understand, as he is a head case, but to waste $$$ and assume Romo will step up...that's a stretch...

TO may have a hard time going to any contender. I think they all know better than to mess with him. TO may have to go to a crappy team and try to make them a contender. Washington has already come out saying we want nothing to do with him. Philly has a poll going where 63% don't want him back and 37% do. lol.

Good luck, TO. You're gonna need it.

I believe in second chances but TO had his and he even got a 3rd. I highly doubt Andy Reid wants to bring back Owens after the mess he caused.

Interesting and somewhat surprising move. It should also be interesting where he ends up.

It wouldn't surprise me if TO gets blackballed sorta like how Barry Bonds got blackballed by MLB. If the Raiders don't sign him, I really don't know any other NFL team that would take the gamble on him.

Kind of what I was thinking too, but the NFL seems to be more cut throat about winning....and with only 16 games each one is more meaningful...so I think they have to be.
