Why do you say that? Mario Williams is probably best suited for a 4-3 but I think he can play in any scheme. He could be a Richard Seymour type end in a 3-4. Antonio Smith is better suited to be a 3-4 end than a 4-3 end. Ryans and Diles could be the 3-4 middle linebackers. Cushing could play outside linebacker. Barwin would fit as a 3-4 outside linebacker. You would have to go find a nose tackle and those guys are not easy to find but I don't think the Texans are ill-equipped to run the 3-4 as any team in the league.
Heres how this plays out..... Boyz end up going .500 with some solid efforts the rest of thew way prompting Jerry to keep Garrett....which will be disaster # 2 in the making Unless Jones gives up the reigns to a guy like Cowher in stead of these puppets he hires, the Cowboys will wallow in mediocrity with an occasional playoff appearance
Cheese me no likey... Well, not that we haven't seen this coming, last night was one of many examples of how bad this team is but is it all coaching? probably not, but the players have given up and not believed in him and something had to be done... In addition, they need to cut Jenkins...that type of bad attitude is wrong for this team...
Bill Cowher simply ain't coming here. You can forget ANY championship caliber coach coming to the Cowboys. Nate Newton was just on ESPN 103.3 and he explained why: Everywhere else in the NFL, the head coach is the face of your franchise - everywhere BUT Dallas. In Dallas, the owner and GM - Jerral Jones - is the face of the franchise. The last coach to be the face of the Cowboys wasss (drumroll please) Tom Landry. This entire organization is the very definition of dysfunctional and nothing is going to change as long as Al, er, Jerry is in charge. Next head for the guillotine: Jason Garrett aka Red-headed Jesus.
I don't care about any of the teams up here, he's just solid entertaining esp when one of the teams falls apart....
CNN is running with it, too. http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2010/11/08/reports-wade-phillips-out-as-dallas-cowboys-coach/?iref=NS1 I'm no Cowgirls fan, and even I'm saying "'bout friggin' time"...
Hey hey hey, slow down there. I claim Houston as home but I'm stuck in Dallas. But yeah I listen to GAC and Mr. Randy. Only thing I actually like listening to on ESPN radio because I don't take him seriously and he doesn't take himself seriously. He knows he can be an old bag and he sounds like he's actually having fun on the radio. Can't wait to hear the next fake jerry and fake wade on the ticket. They have one up today but it was before the actual firing. Hopefully they'll have another one up later in the week.
Randy is the one thing I miss about living in DFW. I didn't necessarily like him, but it's good radio. The Blitz on 97.5 is the only show I've found down in Houston that compares.
