rosas is looking at the same data morey is. and if he feels like its time to dump covington my guess is so does morey.

of course its nice to imagine that covington is healthy and rosas will sell low to his old team!

If they operate the same way, we gotta hope that they see that their franchises are in different spots, and that we have a box of 1st round picks ready to ship over to Gerson... :D

Just under 5 years ago we released him.Now we don’t have any assets that can entice the Wolves. Not giving up Clint and Eric makes no sense for the wolves.

Stop trying to avoid all this overtime you're going to have to do this season convincing clutchfans that everything is fine. If we trade you we need to give 5 first round picks. People like you gullible conformist are dime a dozen.

I’d rather have Covington for this season. He is a better defender and arguably as good a three point shooter. He also has a 7’2” wingspan..... rolling out Paul/Rivers/Harden/Iguodala/Covington would be nasty to score against

Please. Eric Gordon is a good player but he is the most over rated player on the Rockets.

I would gladly deal Gordon and a #1 for him. He is under contract at a low amount for years, is a vastly better defender as well and can easily play 3-5 both offensively and defensively.

He can barely function in society, take it easy on him.

Still puzzles me why Morey couldn't see his potential.

He has been sacrificing the future for immediate results for a while now.

He did see his potential. He only released him when they needed a roster space. Part of the problem was he was really struggling with his 3 point shot.

Covington has an NBA body, could defend and shoot the 3-ball. He is the prototypical 3 & D guy. He just needed experience. I would have made him a developmental project.

Covington would be a great consolation prize for not getting Butler. What a great fit.

sounds like damaged goods to me, and feel like eric gordon is better than he is. he can get his own shot off the dribble, roco cannot. we need EGs scoring far more than we need more perimeter defense, ESPECIALLY as cp3 declines. we ride james harden too hard as it is. we need morr size and scoring upfront. Ego is a solid defender anyway.

The only realistic trade that both party might be interested in is Gordon + 1st for Covington. This trade won't make us better, but not worse either. Covington is much cheaper though, he is only making 11M per year for the next 3 season, which is about half of what Gordon is going to demand after this year. I think Tilman will happily make this trade. He doesn't have the money to keep Gordon anyway. But the wolves may not be too excited about this. They probably would ask for two FRPs.

Gordon and a first for Covington blows my mind. I know our firsts arent worth much but mannn. Our team without a 35' shooting threat would have some rough stretches. Gordon when healthy is a stud. And he seems to stay pretty healthy lately.
