I am all for it. I mean what could possibly go wrong? Trumpers get their wishes and get the opportunities to be exposed to Covid as much as they can. The rest of sane ppl, they probably will hate DeSantis' guts and it might have a few turn to be Biden's voters. Win win for everyone.
The costs and deaths associated with lockdown now dramatically exceed the risk from COVID. Florida is doing the right thing. Opening up SAVES lives and restores financial health and food security for families. Locking down for a virus with such a low fatality rate is anti-science.
Our churches have been open at a limited capacity and we are supposed to wear masks. There are two families that refuse to even after the Priest gave the most stern request I've ever heard him make. It's ridiculous that they won't. I just don't get it.
Does the church allow them in for services? They shouldn't, in my humble opinion. It's endangering everyone else, as well as themselves.
COVID must be very excited about its announcement, b/c America, more than most countries, is maximizing its chances to mutate! Great success! It's like we're welcoming a multi-national corporation, but one that kills your citizens more directly and doesn't even have to make campaign donations. Indeed, maybe this is Trump's way to beat down unemployment, by killing the unemployed, for one, and by killing people who have jobs, for another, making room for the surviving unemployed.
They have masks that they leave hanging under their chin, so I assume they have them on when they walk in. Last week my wife left hers in the car. I was bringing it to her as she waited by the door and the usher asked her if she needed one while she waited for me. So, they do actively try and have folks mask up.
It is dishonest of them (the couple) to wear a mask walking in and then essentially not wear one after sitting down, in my opinion. Sounds like your church is working hard to do the right thing. It's a pity that those two don't care enough to do the right thing themselves. No one likes wearing masks. I don't know anyone who does. We do it anyway when it's required, for ourselves and for others.

I wish we could just have two Americas. It’s one thing if a person wants to get COVID and it’s another if that person spreads it to a separate person who did not want it and that next person is harmed or killed as a result. Libertarianism is incompatible with the welfare of the whole.
