Based on this, I think it would be the independent scientists are the timing factor, not Pfizer. I would think the pharma companies would like Trump since he never followed through with negotiating Medicare drug pricing. My IT company works with Pfizer and the whisper rumors from the management teams is that they've been sitting on this data for 2 weeks, waiting for the election. Two reasons: 1. they didn't want people to think it was a forced political announcement and lower public trust in the vaccine and 2. they were pressured from their board because they thought Biden would win due to the polls and didn't want to piss off the incoming administration.

Well this sucks. My wife's 70 yo aunt and 97 yo grandma were both confirmed to be covid positive this past weekend. This is the closest covid has reached to our loved ones so far. I am not optimistic considering their age and the fact that families can't go visit them in the hospital hurts. The pfizer news is great. Hopefully it can be distributed far and wide in a few months.
