Yes it will. I am not talking about stopping to eat whales or sharks or rhino where it has to do with the sensitivity and interest in the survival of other species and wildlife. But now it has to do with their very own survival. The most potent motive for a human is FEAR. Even the most ignorant and uncaring chinese citizen is being educated now on the danger of eating wild bats and rodents. The Lunar New Year episode on the CCTV channel that everyone is watching even made a mention. There is widespread critisizing and there will be government measures cracking down on these markets and restaurants. It has nothing to do with protecting wild life, it has to do with protecting human lives. The current situation is unprecedented in the history of mankind when almost 30 million people are being quarantineed. That's why , that now it has to do with their own safety and lives, it will not fail to reach their ears. Young and old included.

Look at the top 100 cities in the world by population. I have actually been to Beijing, Hong Kong, and Shanghai other than that there are so many cities in the top 100 I mostly haven't even heard of. It's crazy
There’s been a considerable amount of joking around about the Wuhan Virus, not at all unusual in Hangout, of course, but this virus appears to be getting seriously out of hand in China. I wish them luck in containing it. Looks like they need all the luck they can get. Anyone who has a business trip or a vacation planned there during the next several months should change their plans, in my opinion. I have to admit that I thought of the virus while doing some air travel recently during a vacation. Heck, I saw 12 Monkeys!

Scary stuff, especially in living in an international hub like Houston with many people flying in and out of China.
This is a major problem developing rapidly and China is not telling the truth about infections. Their reaction to this outbreak makes me wonder if they know more about the origins of this disease than they are letting on, but that's just speculation. I'm guessing Shanghai will be locked down next. This virus is killing otherwise healthy people and people are infected and contagious with no symptoms.
