I downloaded a few songs from him years ago after hearing "Used to Get High" during a documentary (a studio version of this one, IIRC, among them), listened repeatedly, then he dropped off my radar. Not better than the original but these Filipino brothers sure came real close. Close your eyes and the oldest brother sounds like Mark Knoffler's voice and guitar.
Some people don't understand the title of this thread. Cover songs that are better than the original. Not, "covers that are beautiful". I assume by posting the video in a thread with this title, they are making the claim that it is better than Keith Whitley (or perhaps Allison Krauss).
